Wow. What a week to not pay attention to my Twitter. So my understanding is this.... Jack Gallagher released with no future endevours speech following multiple sexual assault allegations. El Ligero has admitted to being a creep but denied the criminal allegations. Tyler Bate is a crap flirt and Matt Riddle's lady has been shot down as a stalker. David Starr blackballed from almost every promotion (thank God). A lot of relatively unknown British talent are pretty much screwed going forwards. Joey Ryan and Dave Crist fired from Impact. Michael Elgin suspended. Sammy Guevara and Jimmy Havoc suspended. The former should be fine long term. The latter i guess depends on the conclusion of the investigation. Bea Priestly and Will Ospreay seem to have had no fall back from company's despite an allegation that they covered a rape. Travis Banks and Marty Scrull have admitted to having sex with a 16 year old. They're playing the "but it isnt illegal" card in the UK despite the fact it's definitely immoral. Theres something thats happened with Jim Cornette's wife too that he will no doubt make entertaining.

Sounds like Paul Heyman is stepping down from Raw and Bruce Pritchard is taking over both shows. I can only hope Paul Heyman suggested taking another role in the company as picking Bruce over Heyman from an outsiders perspective looking in seems farcical. Hopefully Raw doesnt become as gimmicky as Smackdown was at the end of last year.

@Devil-Dick Willie Playing devils advocate I think quite a lot of talent that got released were either unhappy, had asked for their release, or had signed contracts in the last 12 months where negotiations werent as smooth as WWE had hoped. I cant imagine the likes of Mike Bennett, Rusev or EC3 particularly care about it but I do feel sorry for the likes of Zack Ryder or Heath Slater if they wanted to stay. Either way, despite being happy that Drake has had the chance to reinvent himself in a way we can see him wrestle properly for the first time since 2015, I have found the whole angle uncomfortable. With what is going on around the world with people losing their jobs and WWE promoting themselves as a "break from reality", to use such an angle is a bit odd. The Jeff Hardy drunk car cash was pretty poor too given his real life addictions.

On a more pleasing note AEW produced a solid PPV. The Stadium Stampede match was a good laugh and they've finally found a very good fit for Tazz.

Hana Kimura also passed away last week. I haven't read too much in to it but it seems to have been suicide following the abuse she was receiving on social media. Only 22 as well. Unfortunately this was always going to happen one day. The Wrestling Community has always been one of the most toxic environments and it expands way before Twitter was invented. Even today I opened Twitter and Alexa Bliss was berating some virgin who said on a podcast she would be a crap shag so I cant see it changing any time soon.

Even though I've only paid 17 quid I'm tempted to get a refund. The Tournament Mode (which I play because the career mode is shite) crashes during gameweek 2 whenever you try and save it. Twitter. Everybody was sharing it and going on as if Brentford have done a West Ham. I think the design is clever in the sense that its geared for expansion. To fill in the corners to connect to the main stand for example would take less disruption than it would for most clubs. A bit like the thinking behind The Amex.

Whilst it was a light hearted comment on my part I'd like to see a strategy put in place on what works now that develops over time (experienced back line, Longstaffs and ASM). Players like Omishen, Cyprien, Diallo, Aouchiche in Ligue One that can grow with Saint-Maximin and the club. I've seen them inevitably linked with the likes of Coutinho who, whilst be a fantastic footballer, doesnt really have any motivation to succeed in such an environment. -

On a serious note is big investment needed at SJP and academy? The big appeal to Newcastle is the infrastructure to be a massive club seems already there. A QPR fan I was speaking with described Les Ferdinand "all mouth" when I ask I asked if hes any good. Probably best off bringing back Ruel Fox. -

Sad news about The Fink. Saw him a couple of years ago at a meet and great. One of my friends does a good impression of him. Volkoff was impressed. Finkel told him not to quit his day job hasn't done the impressuon since. --- On a side note I think this weeks Smackdown and AEW shows are an insight in to the future really until things can move back to reality. A lot of easy wins for people against enhancement talent. A shame really as I dont trust WWE to have an end game when they do this stuff. As shown with Rowan and his spider that Aleister Black easily ended.
