Yeah I was far from the flood too but I still felt the affects of it with them shutting off water and power. I've seen some of the images and the scenes are nasty. Not getting too much coverage either, a Youtuber I watch had to remind us.

Stay safe @Devil-Dick Willie. Heard about the floods. Been in one myself in Lima back in 2017. Not a fun time to live through.
  4. Actually what am I saying, Venezuela is the worst when it comes to politics!
  5. There's a saying back at home. "Peru is a wonderful country but our politicians are awful". Even in our "progression" times the people in charge were crooks. The last 5 presidents are either dead or in jail now. Most South American politicians are bad but I think we're near the bottom with Brazil. They are a big competition for clown show politics.
  6. I think he wasn't. I'm not 100% sure on what correlates with what, but Fujimori was an evangelist, so I think it's unlikely.
  7. Yeah, it's awful. The past year we've regressed a lot. We've advanced a lot since Fujimori left office, and all that has regressed alone since the pandemic started.
  8. Communists. So not far off really!
  9. Well he's actually the one on the left in that specific photo, but he has dressed as Porky on other occasions. Couldn't find the photo. Anyways, welcome to Peruvian politics and non-cable TV!
  10. My friend told me after the Peruvian protests last November that the next worry for the country is a populist government. He was spot on. Lopez Aliaga is in running and he's been dubbed as Porky as he dressed like the character from Looney Tunes. He's our Trump, talks a lot. Already threatened to ban anime due to religion (which is an awful idea as we've got great ties with Japan) and he's saying he's going to do a bunch of things to win in his favour. Unfortunately, the other candidate is worse. So we're in a terrible state for the next elections.
  11. Good to hear! A fun fact but an uncle was actually a trialist for the Sinopharm vaccine, or whatever the Chinese vaccine is called. Apologies if I am being ignorant. But he is vaccinated after those trials, he was a bit of a risk as well as he's in his 60's.
  12. I know. Apologies if I sounded a bit serious Tapia definitely does deserve a move up, but I'm not entirely sure Bayern is the bests option. Not right now anyways, as Bayern are the best team in the world and that might be just too big a jump. He's one of the best South American DM's today but I'm still not that sure he's quite "best in the world" standard. Think he's more suited for a Chelsea, Atletico Madrid or Juventus.
  13. I don't know how Bayern is run, but I know that many ex footballers are gaining unnecessary power either in the managerial game or as directors, like Pirlo, Lampard and Riquelme. So you can never rule it out.
  14. Yeah, that is what he said. It is true however, because he spoke to El Comercio and if he didn't say those things, he would put the press in their place as he has done many times before. He doesn't like it when words are put in his mouth. He is pretty vocal on Twitter.
  15. It was Pizarro who said it, and I believe it because he loves his country, he just hates our federation. And Tapia has been linked to bigger clubs by the Spanish press.
  16. Pizarro will recommend Tapia to Bayern. I like Tapia but it does beg the question: is it nationalism? Tapia is fantastic but I think Ndidi is better and isn't at a club as powerful as Chelsea or City for example. I would prefer Real Madrid or Atletico, but it's interesting nevertheless.

Sports Journalism and 3D Animation. Sports Journalism I had some focus in, but 3D animation I dozed off completely. That's partially why I'm dubious, so I plan to work on my attention span in some way before applying to anything. And yeah I'm aware, that's why I plan to study for it, because I definitely need a masters degree to get a job there.

Seismology was my only option regarding a science when I was told to pick a career back in high school. Since I was about 10 or 11 I've loved researching what causes earthquakes and tsunamis. I remember I spent hours looking at what happened in Japan back in 2011. I'm not too bothered at sciences but Seismology is one that definitely has interested me for a long time.

    More puns, well done

I am not sure if that was an intended pun, but to most of my family it was indeed 'earth-shattering'
  21. @Dr. Gonzo The PL should consider this really. I think having the referee talk like in Rugby isn't family friendly enough, but having audios after the game would explain a lot. That said I don't think it would justify many decisions. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=conmebol+var

I am strongly considering going back to University to study Seismology. I wasn't keen on the idea for studying as most of the things I wanted to be I could work my way up, but Seismology is a science and requires studies. The reason I'm having doubts is because I have a very low attention span and thats why I didn't complete college the last time.
  23. CONMEBOL has actually released their VAR audios in qualifying, which helped explain some decisions, but some are still very questionable. If anyone understands Spanish.
