  1. Yup, why Anti-Vaxxers aren't to be respected. They are increasing the risk of this becoming endemic.
  2. So are the South Africa and Brazil variants vaccine resistant, or are the vaccines just less effective against those? I read up a bit about it and not sure how it works entirely.
  3. Absolutely, Australia and China have shown that it could be stalled enough for a vaccine to come into play with so many less deaths and cases. The pandemic was coming though, as by the time the virus was detected, it was already spreading.
  4. Not been discovered yet to my knowledge, but given how the Universe is said to be more than our solar system on it's own, I can imagine millions of planets away there has to be at least some planet with more life forms. I'm not an expert or anything and it's not that fact based, but I can't imagine our planet being the only one with life on it. Just a bit of an educated guess you can say.
  5. I think the 2 issues at hand were that we've never seen a pandemic like this in our current lifetimes, with few survivors from Spanish Flu in 1918, and also that it's a new virus that we didn't know about for some time. I honestly think spread was inevitable just due to the asymptomatic nature of this thing. I think if something like this happens again, many governments will act quickly, but the worrying thing is it takes just 1 government to fuck up and screw everyone else. If the USA for example decides it's a hoax again, that's all it takes for it to spread around the world.
  6. @nudge I had a thought. Not so much related to Mars though, but I was thinking that if Aliens were real (likely true) and there is life on other planets (not in our solar system) surely humans shouldn't interact. It would lead to another pandemic as they'd introduce diseases just as humans did to other continents long ago.
  7. @nudge Any opinion on Nikolai Baden Frederiksen? Was very impressed with him for Swarovski Tirol yesterday.
  8. This Frederiksen is absolutely class. Scored 2 goals today and consistently creating danger off the ball, getting into the right positions and into space. Swarovski Tirol lead 4-2 now over LASK.
  9. What was that goal just now. Blooper from LASK's keeper. Swarovski Tirol lead 2-1.
  10. Emmen have 4 (!!!) Peruvians in their squad. They were apparently very impressed by Sergio Peña and Miguel Araujo that they signed 2 other players. One of them is beyond average in Rhyner, the other one I am reserving judgement on (La Torre). They play ADO Den Haag today.
  11. I also have to wonder how the hell Australia have isolated the virus this much. 7 new cases again today. I know they had harsh lockdowns but we've seen them in other places where it didn't work. Fair play to them. I wish we were like that but it's tougher in Canada with how cold it gets.
  12. I meant in health matters. They are often ahead of many countries but go under the radar.
  13. Vaccination charts. Israel ahead of everyone as they usually are when it comes to these matters. The top 2 certainly isn't surprising. Canada has vaccinated almost a million people as of today. Long may it continue.
  14. That's good - meanwhile here in North America they are still mostly anti-vaccine. Mostly on the other side of the border from where I'm at anyways. I've talked to few pro-vaccine Americans so far, it's quite depressing. With 4000 deaths a day and breaking records for deadliest days in USA history you'd expect better. Can't counter stupid sadly. Peru on the other hand seems to be mostly pro-vaccine. Thank god.
  15. Doug Ford embarrassing himself... The message is good, but his pronunciations are beyond terrible!

How are the charts for your podcast so far? Depending on niche I find it can be quite easy to get in the higher ends of the charts when it comes to your category. My Peruvian football podcast reached #1 in Peru back in November for sports, and it is in English which is madness.

Yes but keep in mind I didn’t say it was THE toughest music genre. I did make it sound like I said that though so apologies for that. That bit was from me because I’m a big fan of Bachata, and there is no autotune. The bits from the musicians are about how demanding it is to sing, because it requires a lot of technique and perfect breathing, essentially.

Never argue with anyone they aren't fact based, which unfortunately is 99% of the world. I will probably forget to practice what I preach, because it always slips by. However, arguing is pointless as 99% of the time people won't admit they are wrong. They either harp on with their agendas or make up a conspiracy theory that isn't proven. Today I had a discussion with my cousin about what music genre is the toughest to make. I said Bachata which he despises. Then he said it was autotune and required no talent, which is false. Told him to get me an autotuned Bachata song (spoiler, it doesn't exist). He refused, then I showed him actual quotes from professional musicians, and he still denied it. We are actually surrounded by stupidity. It's a shame I can't get actual fact based people to be close to me because a lot of my mates aren't that. Frustrating.
  20. I have lost and admitted to losing many arguments, maybe don't ignore when I have admitted it and stop bringing up when I haven't? I don't care about what happened 3 years ago.
