I feel like the top four is basically done. Just a matter of what order they finish in.

Pretty much making half of the World Cup like the super 8s of the 2007 World Cup, meaningless and never ending

  2. Rashid Khan might turn out to be like Ajanta Mendis, doesn't has much bounce in his bowling like him great start to his career but his career trajectory might not quite hit the early promise because batsmen will just learn how to play him better.

  3. @Harry

Trump is the big wildcard though
on numerous occasions during his short spell of presidency, he has shown the tendency to do exactly what everyone warning him not to do if for nothing else just to see what happens if he did. What makes you guys think that attacking Iran would be too different ?

I suppose he does still need an approval from Congress for a full scale war and doubt he will be given such but i can certainly see him pulling off a surgical attack of sorts just to send a message of intent and to give it one more push to finally force Iran to come to negotiating table with him.

If attacking Iran helps him, he will do it. A lot of his political opponents who also hate him right now, will love him if he attacks Iran.

  4. I meant the individual approach of players towards the longer format, we are also effected by it. A lot of their players and ours will be happy playing T20 leagues around the world because of the internal politics that happens playing for the country and they will get better paid as well.

  5. Think there are some elements in Iran who carried this out, not everybody was aware for sure. Probably those who want to get rid of this regime but still the actual attack itself was highly coordinated that the ships were not meant to sink and that's where i think Saudi money and Israeli skills came handy.

Indian will put another nail in the coffin, crowd been building since early morning for crickets biggest game.

Probably because cricket is a bigger thing in these countries than others and yet i would call it the biggest game in white ball cricket

I honestly think India should be disappointed with this total. With the start they had, and only being 2 down after 43 overs, they should be well into the 300s, looking at something like 370.

Still think they'll win, mind, but they should be out of sight.

Kohli batted a bit too slow in the start even if Rohit was hitting boundaries.

Also credit goes to us for getting Dhoni and Pandya before they could get going

  10. According to Philip Giraldi ex CIA officer people very close to Israel were in the rush to start a war with Iraq and they are the ones who gave the phony intelligence that Iraq had WMD he than on said that if there is a war with Iran in future than it won't be because Tehran threatens US but rather Israel wants it.

Saudis are too incompetent to carry it out themselves. I would put my money on Israel.

The US is blaming Iranian torpedos for the attack. There's a few issues with the theory, because while the Iranian government is horrific... they're not illogical actors:

    • Japan's leader is in Iran right now. It's a historic meeting between him and the Iranian government as it's nearly been 50 years. Why strike a Japanese vessel while ties with Japan are normalising? We've also seen a willingness from Iran to try to actively engage the rest of the international community (part of why they signed the JCPOA) - if they're behind this act, them being revealed as the people behind the attack directly works against this foreign policy goal.
    • The explosions happened on their starboard sides, given the course of these vessels... that'd mean they were struck on the side opposite to the Iranian coast
    • The explosions were above the water line - this makes the torpedo theory very unlikely
    • Full effect of sanctions as a response to this action would mean the largest purchasers of Iranian oil would stop purchasing oil from Iran. Right now Iran is courting the likes if India, China, and Japan to get them to commit to purchasing their oil despite Trump's renewed sanctions. Getting Japan less likely to purchase their oil would immediately harm Iran's goals there
    • First SOS ships to respond were Iranian

The facts as we know them just don't add up to Iran being responsible for the attack.

We're probably looking at limpet mines on the tankers again (like the first attack), just judging by the fact the explosions occurred above the waterline. Considering the sloppy job they did in killing that WaPo journalist, I wouldn't be surprised if this is another sloppy job from Saudi Arabia... assuming these ships were docked in Saudi Arabia. Because if they were, then Saudi Arabia has the means to plant the explosives on the ships while they're docked. They're then able to detonate them once these ships leave port.

It makes much more sense from the Saudis considering they have the means (would know the ships are in port, have the money to grease palms and get the equipment), they have the motive (destroying their big rival in the region), and opportunity (knowing when ships are coming/going, knowing a Japanese ship being attacked as Japan's leader is in Iran, probably negotiating with Iran).

These rained off games really make cricket look dumb. Sri Lanka have 2 points from 1 win and 2 extra points from 2 games they didn't play. xD

Have no idea if they would've won or lost those games but it really hurts the credibility of the tournament.

I can see where you are coming from, i think one team who actually works hard in the field to tie the game and the other team just sits in the dressing room and doesn't play at all but both get the same points is stupid.

And it does question the credibility of the tournament because sometimes teams will be happy with an abandoned match because it will be point gained from what could have been a potential loss. That's essentially shying away from competition which sports is all about.
