It was almost as if the keeper frightened him when he rushed out and he hardly got a tap on it really.. felt he backed out of the commitment at the key moment a bit..

How that was never a corner prior to that goal is beyond me...

I don't think anyone would have expected Scotland to get a result in this game, The sending off just made the whole result much worse than it might have been...

Quality goal from Germany that was... Pleased for the fans at least who have something to cheer about..

Real Madrid and manager Carlo Ancelotti have clarified the Champions League winners will compete at next year's Club World Cup despite the Italian earlier saying the club would "refuse the invitation". Ancelotti's comment appeared in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Giornale, external which was released on Monday. But the 65-year-old later posted on social media to say his words were "not interpreted in the way I intended". He added: "Nothing could be further from my interest than to reject the possibility of playing in a tournament that I consider could be a great opportunity to continue fighting for big titles with Real Madrid."

You get that impression.. They clearly don't have a long term project because they can't stick with anyone long enough to find out if real progress is being made.. Sacking Poch made no sense given the strong end to the season. Giving him one more to see if he can build on that good finish might have made more sense but if he had us languishing in 10th or 11th for most of the next season then fair enough. I also get the feeling that the managers they are bringing in are not involved in recruitment at all and get what they are given, total lack of experience in the team is fairly evident and it will take a couple of seasons to build that confidence and maturity.. I just think they are trying anyone that has had some reasonable success and hoping they can bring that to us regardless of their experience..
