  1. Yea, didn't think the music would be up your street but well put together...
  2. As it was something I directly said I will respond to it... Truth is we can't stay in lockdown forever that's just a fact and unless I missed a raft of posts on here to say otherwise I don't see anyone else asking for it to remain either so not sure what the point was in highlighting that fact?? As you can see from what I said in my post a bit further down I would be in favour of an eased lockdown situation in another couple of weeks but for that to happen we need to have all the other elements in play for it to be a success, Testing PPE for frontline workers etc.. that is something we are not in position to offer people as it stands.. All the rest of your post I pretty much agree with though... There has effectively been no lockdown for any of the frontline workers since it began and although a lot of people could be kept away from the worst of it by working from home or being furloughed for Health reasons so many hundreds more have not been able to do so.. The Government has not been able to give those vital services the relevant protection they should have had to start with and now they are suggesting more people should start getting back in the mix.. baffles the mind, poorly thought out and poorly executed as per the norm in this country..
  3. Thing is for those still working like myself things are as close to normal life as I can get, go to work, get paid and then pay my bills each month so for me and people like me the health aspect is the most concern.. For all those that are not working or getting any financial support throughout all this must be an absolute nightmare... Not only don't they have any cash coming in but those bills for rent, tax etc are not going away, just getting added up and delayed for payment at a later date so even if people do eventually get back to work they will no doubt have to start thinking about how they are going to be managing that debt they have accidently been saddled with through no fault of their own and where the Government needs to consider a secondary support plan for people in that situation..
  4. One for you here @nudge
  5. What concerns me about this is that we started our control measures much later than everyone else and they have had 3 or 4 weeks more time to bring it under control and now we seem as though we are in a rush to get back to 'the new normal' along with every other country doing it.. I mean they are only just bringing in the airport controls and that's not due for another 2 bloody weeks?? Our Government has only 2 speeds, slow and stop.. We can't stay in lockdown forever that's a given and for the likes of @Carnivore Chris and many hundreds more just like him they need to be getting back to work for financial reasons alone let alone the mental health aspect of it. It's appalling that people like you are not being given some basic assistance at the very least just to help tide you over... Our Government were too slow to react to it in the first place and now seem over keen to get back out there amongst it as soon as possible, If they had left lockdown in place for at least a couple more weeks I think that would have been a more reasonable expectation.. So much of getting back to work relies on our ability to supply staff, workers, services with the right PPE they will need to 'control' this as an ongoing concern and that simply isn't in place... We are even seeing second spikes of it from other countries where they lifted some restrictions and had to reverse them again but at least they had better controls to start with, we are as always starting everything on the back foot and winging it hoping it won't turn out too bad.. Talk of getting kids back to school early has been soundly knocked back by the Unions because of PPE and safety concerns on how that's going to be managed but for the general public travelling everyday to and from work I suppose we will just have to take our chances..

I am bloody knackered.... thought I had got away with doing some stuff round the house for a few days given I can't get the supplies I need only to find out the missus had put me forward in my absence to paint next doors house!! Just finished putting everything away.. ache like fuck... She asked me how much and I jokingly told her £2,000 per side and she panicked and said she only wanted the front doing so I said it would take at least 3 coats...

For those that like the odd Pot Noddle, something I am indulging in through sheer laziness this morning do you find the sachet that comes with it enough??? I can only really tolerate the Beef&Tomato one and even then I find myself throwing the sachet away and squeezing half a bottle of Tomato ketchup in there before eating it.. I don't really know what the others have sachet wise??
  9. Finished it last night... decent ending, as it should be. Thought they might have left a little hanger for hopes of a possible 3rd season but as you say it was not to be... Still, glad they got to see it through even if it was just the 2 seasons..
  10. Good to see the Government being pro-active in putting people that come in to the country in isolation for 14 days or face fines and possible deportation.... The new measures are going to be in force sometime in June a little over 5 months after the outbreak first started.. and 3 months after everyone else had implemented it.. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/all-arrivals-to-britain-will-be-quarantined-for-two-weeks-and-face-£1000-fines-or-deportation-if-they-break-rules-which-will-be-enforced-by-spot-checks/ar-BB13Opcj?ocid=spartanntp I am going to start a twitter page where I want everyone in the country to come out on a Saturday night and slow hand clap the Government for it's appalling handling of the whole thing... "Exemplar of preparedness" my fucking arse..
  11. Keep calm, I am only having a laugh... They deserve it... Not sure why you would take photos of people though if you don't intend to see them hung drawn and quartered??? This is a rare opportunity for me to see what goes on behind the curtain so to speak.. Do you have all the modern camera equipment like @nudge uses, zoom lens and all that sort of stuff or do you wing it?? If you get the real good stuff off the dark web you can get facial recognition so you can identify who they are and where they live... maybe you can kick all their garden gnomes over in the middle of the night or lean on their hedges pushing them out of shape or something on the way back from the pub?? Don't see why they should be getting away with it mate...
  12. Going to have to decide what to call @DeadLinesman now out of Mouchards, Chivatos, or Spitzel???
  13. I thought he handled himself quite well during the PMQs on Wednesday... I don't do politicians as a rule but interested to see how this all goes
  14. When they came out to clap and saw the cameras out there he didn't want his daughter exposed to all that so sent her across the other side of the street so she could still partake, then once they had all the footage they needed he went over and brought her back in...
  15. Funny you say that, I actually like his non over emotional style, looks like he has the potential to be a good leader... He at least seems sincere.. Didn't see anything wrong with what he did in the video either, just asked if they had all the footage they wanted of him before going and getting his daughter, can't blame him for wanting to keep his kids away from all that publicity.. Some people need to get a grip
  16. Lucky for me I know what it looks like outside Brentford Football club from memory isn't it....
  17. Also reading that Florian Schneider passed away yesterday as well... another part of my youth gone.. my introduction and interest in the Electronic music scene along with the likes of Gary Numan at the time.. I have Kraftwerks Man Machine album up in the loft... many hours were spent looking up at the ceiling in my room while my head was somewhere else..
  18. Fly straight with perfection Find me a new direction You never realized the things they said We'll never realize until we're dead
  19. I am fairly sure that you have a whole portfolio of evidence on people piled up behind your front door including 'live' footage/times/dates etc that you will be handing over to the old bill when this is all over, I don't think anyone will be getting away with anything down your street...
  20. Heard that Dave Greenfield of the Stranglers passed away age 71 after contracting Coronavirus... Local band from Guildford as well, they were my first in roads into the punk scene of the 70's one of the best bands out there in their time.. They had such a huge influence on my future music tastes.. Still listen to and enjoy their stuff even now.. Fuck you Covid-19..
  21. Got the last ones to watch still, Had to tend to another matter yesterday which threw my plans into a cocked hat... I did try to find out if there was going to be a third season but everything was pointing toward it ending on season 2 so hopefully it wraps up well at least... Been very enjoyable and could have had much more out of it I feel... Agreed it is disappointing but at least we are not going to be left hanging for a third that maybe gets cancelled... maybe someone might pick it up and continue on with it??
