  1. I can tell you that having made over 15 trips ( there and back ) from Nottingham to London back in the day was about 150 miles and we had to stop along the way every time, It's anywhere between 3 to 4 hours journey time depending on traffic, speed etc... you can get away with a bit more speed during the night trips... I can't see how they could have made that journey without having to stop at a service station somewhere especially with kids in the car?? and while being infected??? Government are now saying they won't be wasting anymore time with this matter and false stories from papers so everybody calm down, no need to be trying to hold them to account because they don't want to be so that's the end of that... They should be allowed to do as they please and carry on in Government as they wish no questions asked...
  2. A growing number of Conservative MPs are calling for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to sack his top aide, Dominic Cummings. It comes after prominent 1922 Committee member Steve Baker first said this morning Cummings "must go". Other Tory MPs include: Sir Roger Gale, MP for North Thanet, who tweeted that Cummings' position "is no longer tenable" Caroline Nokes, MP for Romsey and Southampton, who tweeted "there cannot be one rule for most of us and wriggle room for others" Craig Whittaker, MP for Calder Valley, who agreed Cummings' position was "untenable" and tweeted that "you cannot advise the nation one thing then do the opposite" Damian Collins, MP for Folkestone and Hythe and former chair of the digital, culture, media and sport Committee, who tweeted "the government would be better without [Cummings]" Simon Hoare, MP for North Dorset, who tweeted that Cummings "must consider his position" and was "wounding the PM/Govt" Peter Bone, MP for Wellingborough and Rushden, told LBC that Cummings "has to go" because he broke the rules and has not apologised William Wragg, MP for Hazel Grove, has retweeted Baker's criticism of Cummings.
  3. Fantastic player when he was on form, fast and tricky with an eye for goal but he was very lightweight and always seemed to go down a little too easily for me, mentally not tough enough at times with injuries also hampering him... Overall a decent player that could have given so much more if his head had been in the right place for us.. So not really idol material for me because he was inconsistent but certainly a gifted player..
  4. Johnson ducking all the flack... Taking a back seat while others take the bullets for him, How can anyone be happy with his leadership...
  5. And yet.... Speaking to reporters outside his house, Dominic Cummings said he will not be reconsidering his position. "Obviously not," he told journalists. "You're not going to consider resigning? The public are probably very angry," one of the reporters said. He replied: "You guys are probably as right about that as you were about Brexit - remember how right you all were about that?"
  6. This made me chuckle.... Amanda Holden getting mugged over
  7. They had two choices, come clean which would have meant he would need to step down, or defend it and hope they can fudge and fog their way round some semi plausible explanation that buys them time... They have picked option 2 because right now in the face of questions they can't or won't answer it would just be another huge smack in the mouth on how they have gone about handling this since it began.. Just one poor decision after another....

Got to hear this conversation on this radio show.. Make of this what you will, sounds legit to me but make your own minds up... Talk about holding grudges and taking revenge to a whole new level... https://9gag.com/gag/aoPjMNn
  12. To be honest a lot of schools back in the day resembled prisons, one block one side and another across the yard that was fenced off and enclosed constantly being patrolled by the Guards.. I mean Teachers...

  16. Just found this picture while searching about and I remember my dad spending about 6 weeks putting one of these together in secret late in the night just so it would be ready for Xmas morning at the bottom of my bed when I was young.. must have been about 3 feet tall... Love ya dad... always something there to remind me..
  17. I think you might be mixing up your school days with your prison days there mate..... I suppose with the drugs it's sometimes been a bit of a blur..
  18. Just seen that Hancock got a bollocking in Parliament today.... Made my day that has...
  19. I remember them.. They used to do the white Candy ones as well with a red bit on the end until they knocked that on the head, used to come with a picture card as well..
  20. Lucky bastards.... When I was at school, normally just Mondays and Wednesdays we used to have to line up with metal trays like prisoners and every dinner lady each more grizzly looking than the last used to plop something on your plate and you would have to eat it even if you didn't like it... One blob of lumpy mashed potato, peas and some form of meat or meat pulp and then the last lady squeezing as much juice out of the tea towel on it to give it moisture.. Don't even get me started on the puddings... They used to throw the stuff in the bowl so hard that half the custard would end up on your face and clothes... When they used to do Liver & Gravy I swear it would have been easier trying to cut through the sole of a shoe... If you were lucky though you might be one of the ones picked to help do the washing up after then at least you got to put your hands in warm water for a while...
  21. Yea, I never knew that until I was reading a bit about it the other week and although I think people should contribute and not be here for a free ride I think anyone that works as part of the NHS or Care system should be given either a huge discount or at least waive the fees for those that are working as part of the NHS It was worse because that Priti Patel had promised to review it and after only 3 weeks said fuck off it stays as it is... You might think that after all the danger and risk the frontline staff have endured that there might be some thank you for it and even more so after Johnson got properly pampered when he fell ill so I don't care much for this 'Clap for the NHS' bullshit when in reality they don't care enough to want to consider any real change..
  22. That's the one, and then there was a little nervous shuffle of the tie.... When Starmer said "And I quote" he looked worried...
  23. Was it just me or was Boris flapping a bit in the PMQ's and getting borderline annoyed at having questions put to him about Care Homes... Also his comedy sidekick Hancock looked a bit nervous at some points when the camera panned over to him... I also notice that NOW we are interested in doing comparisons with other countries when a few weeks ago they abandoned them when it came to the Death rate stats....
