Cultural relativity! What is normal to me, is odd to you; and vice versa. It's not good but we can't force them to change, only they can change themselves. It's not up to us to police how other nations think and feel, otherwise we are just like American imperialists. Look at those Arabian countries with severe human rights violations, sexual abuse, religious censorship, yadda yadda yadda, we look at them and think 'how barbaric' and they look at us and think they same thing. We view them as backwards and evil, and they look at us as depraved and excessive. Besides, looking at a nation like Italy and expecting racial tolerance is naive when they can't even look below (or above) the north-south border without fuming in rage. 'Porco dio, vaffanculo terrone!'

That's it though, most racists probably don't even realise they are. They know racism is bad so when they are confronted with their own bigotry they say 'No, I couldn't be!'. Most people probably have some bias from the mundane to the severe without even realising, I'd say everyone does. My mother-in-law for instance, bless her heart; is always looking out for the 'poor', but in her mind I think she views them as pitiful and helpless, people that can't do anything on their own without her or god's help; and the government never does anything for them. Sure, she is doing good but I think she has a roundabout manner of rationalising why.

Well as I said earlier he [and Zaniolo] just got kicked out of the Italy squad again! Mancini said he was nothing serious but punishment was due. So maybe he has attitude problems but not in the sense that Balotelli, Ribery, Zlatan, etc. He could just be a little lazy or something minor. Well, Balotelli is the latest problem striker for Italy, I am sure Balotelli was compared to Cassano in his youth...

Well I think, it is because Keane has been kicked out of the Italy squad twice now (I could be wrong), and unlike Juventus; AC Milan is run like shit and Cutrone has had considerably less hype than Keane; that'd be my rationale on the issue. Anyway, just because their can be correlation doesn't exactly prove that Souness has underlying racial beliefs. What do I know though, he very well could be. I've heard from some Italians I know that Keane could be similar to Balotelli, but they could be exaggerating.

It doesn't matter what century it is, as that would suggest we better people as time moves forward and I don't necessarily believe that is true at all.

Well not in the rival sense of a local derby or a deep ideological hatred but their was definitely a huuuuge competitive rivalry from around 2007-2012. The two teams just played eachother too often for it not be heated for those few years, but I think that microcosm of English football is very much over. Technically every team is a rival for they are all competing against one another, but you know what I mean. Chelsea suffers through their locality, they barely play Fulham, QPR, and Brentford, so people fill in the blanks with Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, etc. Well, John Terry I don't know about him really, he was an adulterer, did weird unsolicited tours of Stamford Bridge, and whatever happened between him and whatever Ferdinand it was; all seem a little weird in the sense that a lot of ex-teammates speak highly of him and he seems to have a great rapport with whatever fans stomach him. Seems like an average intelligence bloke that makes really stupid decision occasionally. Every player has done weird shit, Terry's have been blown out of propotion, but even players that are generally loved like Gerrard (punched a bloke at a nightclub) and Lampard (was pissed at an airport and made fun of American tourists during 9/11, allegedly) have done it. Maybe it is the people I know, but nearly everyone has done something bad that they shouldn't have; even if they are good people.

That is just semantics. To be one, is to be the other really.

But it's the same for me, I didn't know anything about Alexander-Arnold or Robertson but one day I'm looking at Liverpool and people are talking about these elite fullbacks they have aged in their late teens and early twenties. I know Robertson wasn't a youth graduate for Liverpool but his success is still surprising to those outside of the Liverpool or Scottish loop.

It seems to be how it is these days, there wasn't much hype around Liverpool's current youngsters, right? Alexander-Arnold and Robetson didn't exactly have fanfare hyping them up either.

Well, I more brought it for a chuckle if anything but Cicero was feeling a bit sour so it landed flat. Indication or otherwise, even if Abraham fails at Chelsea he at least looks like he’d be a fantastic forward for a Championship side; which is still better than Solanke.
