  1. Montreal in November! I am so excited.
  2. Reminds me of that South Park episode with Randy having to apologise to Jesse Jackson by kissing his arse.
  3. I can't say I'm ever surprised that former Communist eastern-European countries with homogenic populations are racist. They can barely stand eachother, let alone people that actually look different. It is actually quite amusing to witness a Croat and Serb violently argue over their mutual shared history and cultures through the lens of ethnic biases. Watch them put aside differences when an Albanian or Bosnian enters the fray. Nothing unites like mutual hated!
  4. Saw the Hispanic doppelganger of Sandro Wagner today waiting tables. A shame as well, he's probably equally talented.

It was a nonsensical rant about how a hairdresser ruined my hair

My nan is in the hospital, not looking good, I feel the anxiety and stress of the world bearing down on me, I don’t think I could forgive myself I can’t see her again. It is especially cruel because I was planning on surprising her with a visit in February. I wanted to be there with her on my birthday and pop’s passing day. A very ambivalent day for her. Not looking for any pity or anything like that, I just needed to vent and it is easier on here with relative anonymity than anywhere else
  8. It's not an emotional pain competition. Cheater or not, it's much easier to judge someone than to really understand them. A pain shares is a pained halved, and as far as I know putting a story in the spotlight can help others. You can look at it through the idea of 'exploitation' if you really must but I'd rather think of the people it could have help through empathy and shared experiences. For some, even knowing that the millionaire footballer with everything material in this world can suffer through similar emotions is enough.
  9. Maybe for you but it may have been something to help him get over it. Everybody mourns differently. Geez not many men can open up on how difficult it is being a widower and a single-parent, let alone let people and the public in. If it helps anyone, I'm sure it's job is accomplished. Looking through life with a cynical lens doesn't make your correct or smart. Who are you to question the sincerity and mourning of another person?
  10. Exploitation or cathartic release? Very judgemental when you don't know the man personally.
  11. Sorry, my bad typing it out. I meant for instance 80 interceptions in 100 chances to i intercept. I was trying to point out that stats often leave out other vital information.
  12. Yeah, if Van Dijk has 100 chances and intercepts 80 that is better than Maguire intercepting 100 from 140
  13. It is hilarious because he will say 'better' in a non-rhotic English accent (bettah) and then say 'academy' and 'players' in what sounds closer to his natural accent. No 'r' sound on 'better' but a very harsh 'r' on 'player'
  14. Haha, he took 100 shots at goal and only had half on target. That is a miserably high number for a midfielder. What is it? Seven penalties and six regular goals? That means through his shooting he gave away possession 87 times and scored 6.
  15. People give Bale a lot of shit he deserves but rarely do they admit he scored a handful of Real Madrid's most important goals of all time. The goals he scored were the winners of two of their UCL triumphs, and one of them may be the best goals scored by a Madrid player ever. Not bad for a player that is absolutely despised. Also what the turd is a Neapolitan breakfast? Is that three scoops of ice cream served with a side of pizza?
  16. Imagine losing the Ashes again.

Because they lose the competition so often they are anal retentive about the trophy.

They should make Ashes a home and away thing, two tests in both countries and a fifth test if the series is drawed or one team has the chance to draw.

  17. It'd be fun to see him annihilate Italy for a team like Napoli or whatnot.
  18. Cultural relativity! What is normal to me, is odd to you; and vice versa. It's not good but we can't force them to change, only they can change themselves. It's not up to us to police how other nations think and feel, otherwise we are just like American imperialists. Look at those Arabian countries with severe human rights violations, sexual abuse, religious censorship, yadda yadda yadda, we look at them and think 'how barbaric' and they look at us and think they same thing. We view them as backwards and evil, and they look at us as depraved and excessive. Besides, looking at a nation like Italy and expecting racial tolerance is naive when they can't even look below (or above) the north-south border without fuming in rage. 'Porco dio, vaffanculo terrone!'
  19. That's it though, most racists probably don't even realise they are. They know racism is bad so when they are confronted with their own bigotry they say 'No, I couldn't be!'. Most people probably have some bias from the mundane to the severe without even realising, I'd say everyone does. My mother-in-law for instance, bless her heart; is always looking out for the 'poor', but in her mind I think she views them as pitiful and helpless, people that can't do anything on their own without her or god's help; and the government never does anything for them. Sure, she is doing good but I think she has a roundabout manner of rationalising why.
  20. Hey come on guys, don’t be culturally insensitive.

When I was 9/10 I was roused on in front of the class by Mrs. Maddox because my cursive Vs looked to similar to my cursive Us. Absolute beast of a teacher, effective, cranky, and no nonsense but when she was minding the local corner store the loveliest lady in the world. Still I was scared of her; though it didn't stop me from given the bird when I was hiding behind a book, haha children are stupid.
  22. Well as I said earlier he [and Zaniolo] just got kicked out of the Italy squad again! Mancini said he was nothing serious but punishment was due. So maybe he has attitude problems but not in the sense that Balotelli, Ribery, Zlatan, etc. He could just be a little lazy or something minor. Well, Balotelli is the latest problem striker for Italy, I am sure Balotelli was compared to Cassano in his youth...
  23. Well I think, it is because Keane has been kicked out of the Italy squad twice now (I could be wrong), and unlike Juventus; AC Milan is run like shit and Cutrone has had considerably less hype than Keane; that'd be my rationale on the issue. Anyway, just because their can be correlation doesn't exactly prove that Souness has underlying racial beliefs. What do I know though, he very well could be. I've heard from some Italians I know that Keane could be similar to Balotelli, but they could be exaggerating.
