  1. I don't need to read this thread because @Whiskey's opinions dominate my Facebook newsfeed around matchday. I say fuck this current lot off and I'll get you Toffee bastards what you want. Pasty Merseysiders with Irish last names on the starting XI, the return of the £2 pie 'n pint combo (20p for a cuppa for the young fella), transfers inspired from relegation battling Championship sides, 3-1 draws against Liverpool that end with 'aye at least the dodgy cunce didn't put four on big Pickie', striker combos composed of a balding 5'7 man and a 6'4 unit with curly sideburns, no women in the stands because when you get home they'll have the sunday dinner ready for news at ten.

Novak Djokovic can suck my arsehole. Fuck him and fuck the powers that let him waltz into the country as he pleases. I AM A FUCKING CITIZEN and I couldn't even see my grandmother before she passed away and I couldn't even attend the funeral, that is something I can never have back. This isn't fair, but since this guy is rich and smacks a green ball across a net he is more valuable than me. I may as well not even exist. People like him just stand on other's backs and it is sickening. Where is Andrew Bogut when you need him?

  5. https://www.90min.com/posts/most-expensive-squads-in-world-football-ranked https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/manchester-city-have-most-expensive-squad-europe-with-united-second-says-study-2021-09-08/ Don't know if that is accurate but according to that Liverpool have the 6th most expensive squad in the world. That's pretty good if you ask me but how much will it stay the same going forward. You'd hate to think that the club can live off the goodwill and not invest more into the club. Trust me on that, the Chicago Bears american football team are still living off the goodwill of one superbowl in 1985.
  6. Liverpool have to have one of the most expensive squads in the world and are one of the richest as well. Maybe they can afford it, maybe they can't but a 7 million flop is better than a 70 million flop, if Liverpool are going to make a big splash better make sure it's a hit and until now they've done so. Yeah it's a bit shit not seeing quality like Salah and van Dijk every season joining the club but that is unrealistic because that quality just doesn't exist around every corner. But at the same time can't be too conservative because those players will leave for other teams. Jota was a great pick, but then you have to ask is it time to sell some of the over thirties? It's a delicate balance and Man Utd under Fergie did it best. Very rarely held onto players for too long. Think about it, the attacking core probably cost well over 150 million pound. That's a lot of cash. That is worth more than a 99% of clubs in existence. But you'd also hate to see this opportunity at a dynasty slip past and wait another thirty years for a league title. You'd hate to know that in retrospect especially stuff like 'instead of spending this much on a mediocre player that should have grabbed that great player for a bit more'.

  9. I think he is like Conte and Mourinho in the sense that he doesn’t compromise with the board and will not stay around if he feels like he doesn’t get what he demands. But I guess that is all good managers, incredibly demanding of the players and the club. It isn’t like legends like Clough and Fergie didn’t have their moments of conflict. Lukaku isn’t a silly man, he probably doesn’t care if he is at Inter or Chelsea as long as he keeps getting more $£€ and trophies.

England actually showed some go with the ball, just the bat was embarrassing Australia’s bottom order is a world apart from England’s. Cummins, Starc, Lyon, not great batsemen but they go out and you can tell there is determination to score, England not so much, Broad, Anderson, Leach, whomever else just look they want it to be over. They have no battle left. Worst England side ever? Saw a picture that over the last year extras was England’s third highest scorerer behind Burns and Root, Concerning that Burns is the second best batsmen on England, he couldn’t do a single thing right and looked as rattled as I would coming up against a fastball from Starc.
  11. WARNING Do you want to watch the first one again or do you want a super cheesey B-movie rendition of the trilogy that has a 50/50 chance of ‘it was alright I guess’ and ‘I HATED IT’? BTW the third is much better than the second, just do not go into any of these movies with the thought ‘I love the first movie what will they do next?’. The second and third and holistically one movie, so 1, 2/3, and 4 are all so different but people limit their enjoyment of them because they want the first movie, the first movie finished in 1999 I know you guys will hate the fourth is you are already skipping the other two

Could have fooled me when you brought up the retired Pietersen earlier cheating is cheating, they all want the same conclusion, . match fixing will always be the worst for me

There is nothing to be said that can justify the ball tampering scandal but these things aren't exclusive to Australia, it doesn't make it right but there are many incidents outside of the Australia team. How many Pakistani and Indian players have been banned for Match fixing? Hansie Cronje was literally fixing all of South Africa's matches in the late 90s and early 00s, Singh called Symonds a 'monkey' and another time slapped a player in the face. Plenty of players have tampered with the ball from rubbing dirt on it, vaselining one side, to adding a bit of lolly to it. You never hear about it when Broad was stepping on the ball to wear it down, because it's not an interesting story, but it's still cheating. Mate there are even rumours that South African coach was murdered in Pakistan. Bodyline tactic of the 30s was the peak of negative tactics and that was the English. The sport was a wide tapistry of cunts but you've got the blinders on

You’re just buying into the media narrative of the hard nosed aussies, it was just exacerbated under Alan Border because the team was shit had to have personality over skill. as if every team isn’t full of players that are aggressive and determined, harbanjah singh, freddie flintoff, quiton de kock, faf du plessis, ab de villiers, ms dhoni, marlon samuels, some play like cunts but some are actual shitty humans like singh and samuels. Some of the subcontinent players are fucking cunts but you wouldn't know because it isn't reported widely in english

Still…it is a bit strange that thinking being a cunt is a uniquely Australian phenomenon. Reeks of a culture cringe.

haha mate there is an area between sucking him off and mediocre and I definitely think he is in that area. he is definitely a lesser name in the pantheon of australian cricketing history but I’d maybe put him in B tier maybe sliding towards C tier.

I don’t disagree with that but it seems like what you want is for Lyon to be something he isn’t. Who replaces him Ashton Agar? zampa? the selectors and the skippers like having him around, he is doing something right oh come on you can’t just dismiss 400 wickets like that, it a magnificent achievement, and I would have thought you’d be more impressed with 400 with how little you think of lyon
