I think it's looking every inch a classic case of good cop caretaker works a treat for a while, but once that's run out there's very little behind it. It is very Craig Shakespeare. The things he's said to the media would concern me. I am gobsmacked to hear a Man Utd manager talking about us, Newcastle and Watford as teams he fears as competition. I think it shows how much people in general follow these daft trends and go to daft lengths to do so that there've been so many more incidents in the past couple of months than beforehand - it's like it took one incident for the debate to become a hot topic again and now everyone's trying to get in on it. Best striker we've had in my lifetime. He's not even had that good a year by his standards and he's still only had six players outscore him in the league. I'm delighted that Rodgers has talked him up and said that he wants a pressing striker like him to be his focal point of the team. That's exactly what I've been calling for all along but Puel never truly seemed to appreciate his value.
