  1. You’re what 17? There’s no reason to ever stop playing video games. I mean I don’t play many or any at all recently but still have a switch, Xbox etc and have no desire to ever part ways with them!

I did it. I quit. I relinquished a lifetime job, in favour of my mental health! Tomorrow I will accept a 12 month contract at another school. A new chapter, hopefully a greener one, begins!
  3. Too soft. I finally went to a Glory game last night (first time in 3 years I think). Started so poor, 2-0 down early on versus Sydney, but got back and drew 2-2. 14 minutes of injury time due to most of the lights going out lol #aleague

    Work/Jobs Thread

So, it’s come down to last minute leaving before the school year starts (end of Jan) or staying and having my mental health problems for another year. The down side to this decision (it sounds easy doesn’t it?!) is that my principal refuses to release me for 12 months. I am a permanent member of staff which essentially means I have a job at my school until I retire lol. Now the school that wants me for 12 months sees actual value in me and have spoken about more leadership opportunities than I’m currently receiving where I am. This is only a year contract with no guarantee of more time. I will have to relinquish my permanent position which is absolute gold in the teaching world. Another negative is it’s about a 20-25 minute drive whereas current place is 10 minutes away so technically less time at home. But, the positives are new environment (be more challenging from let’s say…. Clientele. ) and hopefully a supportive admin team and a great learning experience for me. I will miss the opportunity to say goodbye to students who I’ve known for 3 years and staff, which will be sad, but I guess I’m a little conflicted.
  5. I am not going to watch that. I have a dead red back spider I squished by the front door...been there a week no other cunt wants to touch it, it seems.
  6. It's still around, and way more than I think people realise. Rest up mate, take care. Plenty of fluids.

Geez some list. Never a bee though? About 5 times for me.
  9. Is that ANZ stadium? I don't even know lol. I went there in 2013 (when I also met you). I recall it taking fucking ages to even get on a train.
  10. In a way. Doesn’t automatically make them bad parents though.

Who are the people sitting on you?
  12. Ideally but I would say a lot of children are born without this conversation due to the miracles of life….aka people not taking care
  13. That’s better. Much better. I can see why you’re married.
  14. If I was him I’d start with “Wasim Akram was a left arm fast bowler who took 414 test wickets. Wanna see how fast my left arm is?”
  15. To be fair I do know a fair few people who are already divorced or broke up with their partners from a young age after a fair few years - but the same goes for those who met later, or there’s those who met young and are together. It’s a bit of everything! Generationally things have probably changed a bit and it wouldn’t be as common now as maybe the generation before me to meet and marry young. Maybe that was the point.
  16. Under 24-27 you can definitely expect a relationship to last longer than 6 weeks, if you said under 17 I’d have agreed with you though!
  17. Glass onion 6.5/10 A generous score because I thought it was alright for the first half or so of the movie. I had high hopes. However, the ending for me was absolute rubbish. Usually I’m easy to please.
  18. Surely you’re drinking and then releasing some potential kids into some tissues though? Otherwise what’s the point of Christmas.

38 degrees yesterday and our evaporative air unit carked it. Managed to get someone out just now (39 degrees) to come out and look. Gonna cost at least $1000. But my god it’s needed it’s 30-32 degrees inside uhh and it’s only 11:30. Reverse cycle air con units are the way to go but with our walls and living area design it’s very tricky and will cost near $9,000 for one unit. Life.

Was gonna say tactical vom until I saw you on the grass. Those damn vodka cruisers hey.
  21. Damn, it’s a worry isn’t it? I met our federal member (Labor MP - area traditionally Liberal and had been for 20+ years I think), the other day as she came into my class to present an award. Seemed okay, but I don’t know all her policy stances tbh but thankfully to my knowledge no one nation nonsense!
  22. You’d really hope it wasn’t premeditated. I saw the footage of Glover throwing it back, doesn’t look malicious or angry, but definitely triggered (or gave those cunts an “excuse”) the so called fans who’ve just set football back 10 years in this country. Honestly, I know it’s not 99% of victory’s fault, but I think they need to be punished ridiculously harshly. And those involved hopefully never set foot inside a football stadium again, but how do you ensure life time bans for what should be up to 50 people.
  23. The league decided to move the grand final to Sydney for 3 years instead of the best side in the comp and through playoffs having a home final.
  24. There’s also more context behind this (to an extent - not the assault that’s just fucking so sad and upsetting to see as the game should be riding on the success of the World Cup) but with fan protests. Will post in the morning. Am gutted and trust Melbourne victory fans (although a minority who rumour has it already hold bans) to fuck it all up.
