  1. Makes it look more like a Trump coup attempt than just fringe lunatics...
  2. If they weren't white, they'd be called terrorists for sure. Look how these same people protesting reacted to the BLM protests earlier this year. It was never anything like this.
  3. These Congressmen that egged this bullshit on need to be arrested - they've basically incited this.
  4. I hope these 2 Georgia senate seats go to the democrats, otherwise not a whole lot changes even without Trump
  5. Yeah - it's really fucked up what's happening in Yemen. It's not going to get much news coverage because it IS happening with tacit support from Western governments... and people don't want to be made aware of the horrible shite that their governments bring to other parts of the world. But yeah, it's a horrific humanitarian crisis.
  6. If I had to guess, I'd assume the Iranian government is taking the calculated gamble that the US political establishment is more concerned by the brazen coup attempt in the US, rather than starting a war to torch things on the way out. That Georgia call indicates Trump very seriously thinks he can hang onto the presidency despite losing an election - so maybe the gamble is paying off. South Korea's sending over a diplomatic delegation... which is what Iran requested to send over when South Korea froze the funds - so honestly, it looks to me like Iran's act of piracy has sort of paid off. I think the way the world has gone over the past few years, we've even seen the US engage in actual piracy as well, we're seeing a more thug-ish approach to foreign policy. Russia with Crimea, Azerbaijan with Nagorno-Karabagh, basically any sort of Persian Gulf relations - it's not isolated to the Middle East. But I think the Middle East is as fucked up as it is currently because of decades of Western foreign policy in the region that was concerned with only the short-term and never looking into the long term consequences of the region, being made progressively more and more unstable by more and more short term thinking. Iran have also put out Interpol notices for Trump and other members of the US government - https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2021/1/5/iran-issues-interpol-notice-for-48-us-officials-including-trump - I think they're well past taking him seriously. In other news: Saudi Arabia and Qatar have re-established normal ties.
  7. Iran has gone mental and decided to go after a South Korean tanker in international waters over a substantial amount of money that was held up by South Korean banks due to US sanctions. Turning to piracy to settle international disputes isn’t a great look for anyone. But especially if you’re a country with few allies that will back you up and many countries that would be happy to Balkanize you... I also think with a new US administration, not being antagonistic would probably be better considering Biden & co seem keen on returning to the negotiating table?
  8. I dunno, seeing how shit our midfield was made me really hate having both Henderson and Fabinho at the back. I hope we don't have to do that more than a couple times ever again in my lifetime.
  9. Aw I missed the final! But Persepolis lost, as expected. I still think it's pretty remarkable they managed to reach the final, considering how shit things are in Iran currently. But no surprise they've lost in the final after having lost most of their best players. When was the last time a West Asian side won?
  10. Well if it's true that we're not in for a CB in January, I think we're a bit fucked.
  11. I remember 20 years ago when the Echo wasn’t so shit
  12. It says he’s a left back and central midfielder though. It’s a young James Milner by the sounds of it
  13. Have I mentioned I've been playing Carrion? That's a pretty fun game - it's like being a monster in a shite horror movie from the 80s

    Cooking

My wife and I have used it for a few months because we got bored of making the same shite over and over. We don't get meals every week, but some weeks they've got some seriously good stuff so we get 3 meals every once in a while. At some point though we're probably going to stop soon because at a certain point it just seems like the same thing - cooking the same shite over and over. One thing I do like is they've got the various levels of difficulty in the meals, so the service works well for lots of various skill levels in cooking... ...but pretty much every time we've thought "eh should we cancel the subscription" we see future weeks where we find 3 meals that look new, interesting, and tasty. I recommended it to someone who wanted to learn cooking though but hadn't ever really cooked his own meals, he was a microwave or mum-cooked meal kinda guy , he fucking hated it. Thought it was way too much work. So it's not for everyone.
  15. We both had Dr in our name and we're both Liverpool fans... I think the same (default) avatars too Seems pretty reasonable
  16. I feel like I could tell you about what the weather is like here, but I'd be an absolute fucking dick if I did so I won't be doing that.
  17. Mine was Soul as well. I liked it a lot, agree with @nudge that 22 felt very relatable
  18. Look, don’t let the details get in the way of celebrating. The important thing is that Brexit means Brexit
  19. Us: Give us the details! The Government: hang on let us celebrate like we’ve won a World Cup! It’s a Tory government celebrating, so don’t be surprised if we’ve sold every person that earns under a certain amount per year to work as slaves in France or some shite like that
  20. I'm sure the horrific abuse played a part in him being an absolute nutcase. But honestly that was never really the issue he had with us. His behavior was fine with us, tbh, other than the fact he's one of the laziest players to have ever stepped through Melwood. But he's been given so many chances, in Italy and outside Italy and even when he does hit a good run of form... you just know it'll be temporary and he'll go back to being an incredibly lazy player. He's honestly one of the worst players I've ever seen for us, just because of his astounding lack of effort. We hardly even got to see the "flashes of quality" you get when you sign a player that's good but doesn't fit in - just his one goal against Spurs really. Other than that his time with us was a total waste and he played like someone who never wanted to be at the club in the first place. I'm surprised he kept playing football after us, tbh, seemed like his heart was well the fuck away from the game. I'll trust Edwards & Klopp if we sign him, they've not been wrong often (only really one signing I'd say was a poor signing, and even then that's a bit harsh on Karius because he did end up being a keeper good enough to go to a CL final - and I think that final is what ultimately killed his career as a "top" keeper).
  21. How old was Balotelli when he joined us? I’ve seen this lad look like he couldn’t be arsed to run while he was at Bayern Munich. I don’t care how old you are, if you’re at a team that big and you play like you don’t give a fuck... I doubt you’ll ever be professional enough to remain at that level.
  22. Yeah every super power is cunty. Plus since the end of the 2nd world war we’ve held the US’s hand and showed them the ropes as they took to fucking the world up
  23. It's pretty reckless - especially here where a pandemic is (for some fucking reason) a hyper partisan issue in a country where partisan politics has exploded in a very uncomfortable way. People turn to the government and media for guidance and the government and media here don't provide any guidance whatsoever.
