  1. I wonder if he just misheard his agent and thought it was a move to West Ham...
  2. Iran finally hired a head coach to replace Wilmots. It's Dragan Skocic. It's his first national team job - but he's worked in Iran before and was willing to be paid in rials. I think that's 2 of the 3 criteria the IFF were looking for - familiarity with Iranian football, experience managing a national team (which was probably unlikely considering the third criteria), and being willing to be paid in rials (I think many managers with the right experience would have likely wanted to be paid in Euros or Dollars - which is unlikely right now considering the economy of Iran & how hard it is to get any money converted to dollars/Euros). The Iranians in Iran (so pretty much all family) I know were hoping the manager of the club they support would be the next national team manager. That's Branko Ivankovic - who was, up until recently, Persepolis FC's manager & also the Iran manager from 2002-2006. But he went off to be the manager for Oman. I don't know anything about Skocic other than what's on his Wikipedia page & what I've been told about him. He's been at 4 Iranian clubs though - Malavan (which is from a province I've got family from... but I don't know any of my family that's not from Tehran/Shiraz so it's not like I can ask "how was he?"), Foolad, Kooneh be Kooneh (a club that doesn't exist anymore), and Sanat Naft. So two clubs from Khuzestan - probably one of the most diverse places in Iran - & two clubs in cities by the Caspian sea. So there's some fun Iran facts. And in other news, Sevilla have sold their captain to a club in China. Specifically... to Wuhan.
  3. The 3DO's launch price looks insane compared to everything else on that.
  4. They’re easily the most annoying side I’ve ever seen us play, ever. I’ve never witnessed such shithousery.
  5. Tbh one thing I’ve noticed under Klopp with us is we always seem to lose momentum after an extended break. I think breaks are necessary for the intensity we use in each match. But you can see after the winter break there’s a bit of rust on the players. I think we’ll see more rotation in the final stretch, but I doubt we do a rest of the entire first team. But yeah, obviously winning the treble would be a really nice way to ensure this season lives on in history for decades. And I’m sure that’s what the team is hoping for. I think at this point we just need to play our way back into form before we host Atletico at Anfield, when we’re at our best at Anfield I think we can beat anyone. But VVD had his worst match in a Liverpool kit and Fabinho, who at his best is very important for us, hasn’t been at his best since coming back from injury. I think we get a bit of momentum back and we can start thinking about a treble. We’ve got 3 weeks (I think, I can’t remember when the FA cup match is) to keep that dream alive
  6. Having Messi and Griezmann and then claiming you have an emergency so you should be able to take the best player on a small team battling relegation. This emergency signing rule is fucking stupid. I can understand a goalkeeper, but this is just down to poor planning from Barca. They had 2 injured attackers - then sold one in January. Now they can claim an emergency? Its embarrassing they even asked. It’s absurd it was deemed an emergency. And what about Leganes? Can they now declare emergency after having lost the player that’s helped them win most of their points this season?
  7. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-google-privacy-eu-exclusive-idUSKBN20D2M3?utm_source=reddit.com So um... why is UK data for UK citizens going to be lumped under US jurisdiction... rather than UK jurisdiction?

Mushrooms are delicious mate, they deserve a second chance from you at some point in your life.

I'd do ground lamb or beef, grated carrot, grated onion, peas, rosemary + thyme, garlic & then potatoes for the mash. I'd probably bung some parmesan cheese into my mash because that's the secret to all good mashed potatoes (but that's probably not the most authentic way). Maybe try it with mushrooms one time & mushrooms without to see which one you'd like better... because I genuinely have no clue whether mushrooms would make it more authentic or not.
  10. Looks hard as fuck, but also looks like it makes for a great RPG

Enjoy mate. I am now hungry for shepherd's pie though.
  12. I’ve not heard about it, but it sounds cool
  13. Wait are you saying it's bizarre that Buzzfeed's got a good political journalist? I used to think it was pretty bizarre that Buzzfeed was turning out to produce regularly good investigative journalist content. But it turns out they've gone well out of their way to hire really good journalists. Their clickbait pays the bills for their serious news work... and lately they've actually broke a lot of stories that get picked up by the bigger, more trusted, news sources... even though Buzzfeed's done all the hard journalistic legwork for them. In any case, I'm not surprised people are finding Cummings impossible, or nearly impossible, to work with. It doesn't bode well for the UK to have political advisors unable to give honest advice when it flies in the face of "the party line" - that's sort of the exact situation the US is facing now. Where career public servants are finding their work impossible to when their opinion formed over decades in the field flies in the face of what the populists want to push. I don't think BoJo is particularly ideologically principled. I think what he believes in most is whatever he believes gives him the most power. So if enough in the government find Cummings impossible to work with and bring those grievances to light... it might make Cummings' position as chief aide untenable. On the other hand, if BoJo doesn't feel like good and honest advice from public servants is going to be helpful in keeping his government in power... he's not going to give a fuck how aggrieved they are.
  14. Do you mean Harry Maguire? I don't think he's as good as Virgil van Dijk... but I don't think there are many players out there who are that good at defending. Tbh, I think United need a new manager more than they need anything else. I think the style of football they play works well when they're playing sides who are better than them, or when they're up against a side that thinks "well this Man Utd isn't as good as Man Utd sides in the past, we can try to play expansive football against them." Solskjaer's tactically limited and he really only ever sets up United to be good at countering. But when he's faced with sides that aren't going to open up against United, United always struggle with the basics and then tend to play poorly and make mistakes which cost them. I honestly believe the current crop of Man Utd players looks a lot better all over the pitch with a more tactically adept manager. Yes, there's deadwood that needs to be sold and new players that need to be brought in... but I don't think United should look as bad as they have at their worst this season. And ultimately, I think that comes down to their manager and his lack of ideas.
  15. La Liga should get rid of the mandatory release clause bollocks and the league should look to structure TV deals like the premier league where more clubs that aren’t the big 2 get a more proportionate slice of the pie
  16. La Liga’s a fucking joke letting Barca sign a striker out of the transfer window because they’ve got an “emergency” meanwhile they’re signing a striker from Legannes, who’s their top scorer and top assisted while they’re in 19th place. Imagine being one of the richest clubs in Europe and having Messi and Griezmann yet successfully convincing your league you’ve got an emergency and need to make a vital signing. Meanwhile these relegation battlers will have a player taken from them and have no chance to get a replacement. It’s pathetic Barca even asked for an emergency signing. It’s shocking the league is letting them.
  17. Last season did we sign anyone from a club who'd been relegated? That's sort of the Klopp special, taking a relegated player and getting some good use out of them. I can't see Norwich not going down... so I figure Cantwell could be that kind of player for us. One thing I like about him is that aside from having a lot of energy, he seemed to be popping up everywhere for Norwich. I think with Salah and Mane going away in January because of ACON next season, players like Minamino and Cantwell, who are versatile do make sense for us to add as squad players. There's obviously a massive drop off in quality though. And when you compare that kind of squad depth to something like what Manchester Cheatey have got at their disposal... it doesn't look all that great for us in January.
  18. It's a hub for Delta (I think their headquarters is at an address at the airport tbh - much like how Southwest's got a big office at the Dallas-Ft. Worth airport. Because it's basically the primary Delta hub, that also makes it a primary hub for: Air France, Virgin Atlantic, Aeroflot, Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Europa, Air France, Alitalia, China Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Czech Airlines, Garuda Indonesia, Gol Transportes Aereos, Hawaiian Airlines, Kenya Airways, KLM, Korean Air, Seaborne Airlines, Transavia, Vietnam Airlines, Virgin Australia and West Jet. Aside from those big airlines - there's also the Delta Connect (or whatever it's called) range of brands that all pass through Atlanta as well. And then there's the airlines that pretty much go to almost every big airport in the country - Southwest, Frontier, etc... those all have routes to Atlanta. As a result, #2 on your list is absolutely true. And Atlanta is the biggest airport in terms of passenger traffic in the world.
  19. Yeah that’s a bit misleading. He’s just made his text bigger and bold and trying to pass it off like a news headline with no source
  20. Any proof it’s a parody account? Because it doesn’t look like anything other than a genuine idiot and if you search his name + parody... you don’t get any hits
  21. Yeah I was probably being a bit hyperbolic in saying DCL is better just based on his improvement over the season. Pretty clear Richarlison’s really the main man with you, just got a bit carried away there
  22. @RandoEFC I have to hold my hands up and say I was wrong over the summer about Calvert-Lewis. He’s improved a lot this season, I think he’s been better than Richarlison this season and if he does get called up to England soon, I wouldn’t think it’s as lol-able as I did in the summer. Tbf to me though, he has improved a lot this season and I don’t think many would have predicted that.
  23. Gonna follow this account, you just know someone this stupid is going to be entertaining. and of course he’s from the fuckin midlands
