  1. Yeah probably, because they're a well drilled club that's playing in the top flight and the England side's a collection of players - some of whom are very familiar with each other - but that mostly have to learn a system and implement it in a short amount of time. I'd expect most top flight sides in most good leagues to be able to beat most international sides tbh.
  2. I think you've got to go with Pickford. Henderson's been good this season, but he's also had a few fuckups like Pickford. It just doesn't get the same press because one's a kid and the other is the England #1 keeper. Pope's only good at shot stopping, but there's more to being a keeper than that. Maybe if we set England up like Burnley… but does anyone actually want that?
  3. I also really hope Southgate puts Henderson as our right sided central midfield and tries to get him an Trent working as similarly as they do for Liverpool for the England right flank. That’s give England a shitload more creativity.
  4. Seen this stat: Getafe, who currently sit 3rd in La Liga, have a pass accuracy of 61.7% in the league. 6.9% worse than the second worst passing team in Europe's top 5 leagues that’s worse than Burnley. Are they shithousing their way into the CL?

We Merseysiders are a class above the average Brit already, so my ethnicity just makes me extra special. If you like beef try a soltani when you go try out Persian food. So fucking tasty

Yeah my mum’s from Iran & my grandparents decided to fuck off outta Iran when Khomeini took over. You should go! I think Germany’s got a lot of Iranians - it was a lot of people’s first stop out of Iran after the revolution & a lot of them never left.

A good way to think of the rice & the tadig is as a base for the main dish. Persian food's got a lot of stews, so typically you'd put stew on top of the tadig and with the rice and eat that. I like tadig with or without stew though - without stew you'd have it on the side with whatever meat you're eating with it. That's how we ate it last night.

My parents are coming soon, so I’m practicing cooking some Persian food to impress my mum. Kabobs and stews aren’t too hard. But I’ve always been shit at cooking rice like a Persian and making tadig (this delicious crispy rice). I think I did okay last night though
  12. I think it's a cat. Tbh, I don't blame this kitty. He could be on his 9th life so he's got to be a little cautious
  13. and he says something like "the virus needs to be quicker than that to catch me" Pretty stupid video to upload to the internet for someone who's famous
  14. Dele Alli's also gotten some heat for some racist remarks about Asians & coronavirus

  16. Yeah it’s early days on his career, but when a youth player comes in and doesn’t look out of place at all... I think that’s a pretty good indicator they’ll make it. He’s got all the physical attributes to be a success, I think the rest comes down to his mentality and for a defender Mourinho might be one of the best people around to shape his mentality. He made his debut against us and ended up looking like Spurs’ best defender against our attack imo. It’s early days, but you can see the raw quality is there. Now it’s up to him to make the most of the quality he’s got. I’d be well happy with extending his contract if I were a Spurs fan. Imagine if they didn’t and kept developing next season and he looks class and then around January Spurs offer him a contract, but he’d probably have other suitors with 6 months left on his contract. Then they’d risk losing a promising young player.

Yeah my post wasn't meant to discourage you or anything @Vader - more just to underscore that what you're trying to do and to be successful at is something that is going to take an enormous amount of work to be successful at. And you shouldn't be surprised if the early days are slow-going in trying to build your channel because it's hard. You need to have a niche, but you can't be too niche in that there aren't enough people that want to watch your videos because the topics are too obscure. It's a very fine balance. Honestly, the hardest thing is to churn out content that isn't crap. And while most YouTubers can't guarantee a quality video each time, even the best ones, I feel like they hit the sweet spot for their target audience somewhere around 7-8/10 times. You have to be able to make enough good videos to keep people coming back, without releasing new content too frequently to irritate all the people you're relying on to click that notification button as well as subscribing to you - because too many notifications all the time is a great way to get people to turn that off... or unsubscribe entirely. And you can't release them too slowly otherwise people think your channel's becoming inactive and they stop subscribing. It's another very fine balance. Are you doing this on the side to that scouting gig you said you landed recently? Because I felt like that was your dream job... because you said it was. So is this just a hobby you're hoping to make some extra cash off? Or did the scouting gig turn into something you weren't expecting? Or is that something you only do when you're in Peru?

My favourite big YouTuber doesn't have paid sponsorships! But he did use his YouTube fame to start his own guitar brand, promote his 3 bands, and his solo-artist career... so he's found another way to get more money from YouTube without needing to resort to doing paid ads. And it's less annoying when the ads are for something that content creator also created. But yeah, for the most part to get real money from YouTube (and not have to have an actual job) you need: 1.) a shitload of subscribers, 2.) a shitload of people that don't just subscribe, but also have clicked the button to be notified of when you post up new content, 3.) sponsorships because popular channels make for good product placement. It's not easy either. You have to develop a good YouTube persona, for some people that's just being themselves. For other people it involves getting into character. And I think that's something that'll come to whoever's making the video after they've made a lot of videos. You also need a regular flow of content to upload. This means constantly making videos that are of good enough quality to keep people interested in your channel. The people that run a YouTube channel as a full time job... they treat the channel like it's a full time job. They're always making videos, they set schedules for themselves for when they release content and then stick to those schedules. It's also fairly easy to have your video demonitised or have your video taken down from having too much material that's copywritten by someone else. Unless you're doing something that's totally new or different to other YouTube channels out there... it's probably one of the hardest ways you can try to make a living tbh.
  19. I ride a bike for cardio instead of running. I've always sort of hated running unless I'm playing football, whereas riding a bike has always been fun.
  20. I think there have been 2 reasons we’ve improved at the back from the start of the season. First we lost our starting goalkeeper early on in the season - midway through the first match. Adrian did well in his absence, for sure, and I am very happy with him as a replacement for Mignolet/Karius. But losing a starting keeper does make a defense a bit more shaky. And when Alisson did come back, he was a bit rusty - but now he looks to be in full swing. And I think that makes a difference Second reason is young Gomez is much better than Lovren & Matip
  21. Yeah I think the both of them shouldn't be near the England squad based on this season's form tbh.
