  1. I thought Riley was bad as the head of PMGOL - but Webb is somehow worse. Just like when they were referees. Dunno how 2 of the most shite refs I’ve seen in my life ended up as the boss of all referees in the country… but it explains a lot about the state of officiating in the country.
  2. Pretty sure Man City’s paying refs tbh. The VAR crew was in the UAE getting £20k each 2 days before the match refereeing in the league owned by… Man City’s owners. Even if they’re not bent, it’s got the appearance of corruption so how stupid of Howard Webb and PMGOL to allow it.
  3. The Ronaldo signing undermined what OGS was doing in his attempt to rebuild the side imo. I don’t think he was a particularly great manager, but I don’t think he was really helped by the Glazers and I don’t think Ronaldo being back at the club really helped.
  4. Depends if we're in water or not tbh.
  5. I should have known when I saw "Torball" but didn't know what the fuck it was that it would not be a good answer
  6. Think it’s for about 3% of the club. Sounds like this has been done to get us back to debt free.
  7. Shoulda elbowed the official in the head, FA precedent has that as a 1 game ban.
  8. US government primed for another shut down because they've got stupid rules that don't force congress to do their fucking jobs and don't call for special elections if they can't form a budget.
  9. The BBC article on this is pretty disturbing tbh. Tortured at least 12 dogs to death, out of the 42 dogs he abused in the last year and a half before he was arrested - 39 died, filmed himself doing it and uploaded the videos to the internet. He also liked child porn. Sick bastard, most people who abuse animals are irreparably fucked in the head tbh. Hope he goes to prison for the rest of his life.

@MUFC do you want to be the next pope now?
  11. Sounds like they're trying to implement some discord features to try to capture users on their app rather than have them on some other messaging app.
  12. The problem with that is you get one chance to make a first impression after building up hype for a follow up to a popular game. I loved Borderlands 2 and I probably should revisit Borderlands 3 at some point to give the game a fair shake. And tbh, I didn't think it was that bad at launch - it just didn't have anywhere near as much polish as Borderlands 2. And the bugs did hurt the impression it made on gamers when it launched. It's harder for people to return to a game they felt turned off by, so I always think it's better for developers to release something that's pretty solid at launch and if there are any serious bugs they've got to be addressed within weeks.
  13. I haven't seen it yet, but I really want to.
  14. Like clockwork though, so easy to predict what he and his fans would say. Just like Andrew Tate tbh.
  15. Lol @ Carlson is a long time Libertarian so he’s not right wing.
  16. I wonder if that's why he's spent so much time repositioning himself as an alternative media figure since the me too stuff - has he been waiting for these allegations to come out so he can say "the mainstream media is trying to silence me?"
  17. Genoa fans seem to like 777 quite a bit, say they saved the club financially and gave them a new lease of life. Sevilla fans seem to hate them.
  18. And to think I was upset we'd missed out on signing him and that you landed him - sounds like we dodged a bullet and he'd probably be getting the Sakho treatment from Klopp.
  19. Is that true? He seemed like he was a pretty popular member of the squad and someone that they valued quite highly - the most controversial thing he did at Dortmund, if I recall, is a public display of support for George Floyd's family... which isn't even that controversial tbh. I wouldn't be surprised if he got lazy because he's on big wages and that's caused some attitude problems, that happens with some players. I do think it's a bit strange of man management when you've got an expensive high profile player who's said he's been undergoing mental health treatment getting frozen out like this by the manager. It's hard to come back from being told to train alone. Whenever that's happened with us, the player's been pretty quickly moved on. It usually demonstrates a complete breakdown in the relationship between the player and the manager and the manager no longer wants that player around to "infect" the squad. It takes a lot to repair a breakdown like that. I imagine he's on his way out as soon as the transfer window opens. Probably bad planning from United's part not finding a club willing to at least take him on loan or convince him to take the untold riches of Saudi Arabia once the window closed.
