Latest in the clown show that is US national politics is GOP majority leader of the house Kevin McCarthy announcing that the house is beginning an official impeachment inquiry into Biden. This is after 9 months of investigating Biden to find any evidence of wrongdoing to merit an impeachment. So after 9 months of investigating and finding nothing... I suppose it's time to step up the investigation into an inquiry.

They've been pretty poorly run for about 30 years, Moshiri's not the cause of the rot... he's just accelerated it pretty significantly. When you look at Everton's big signings over the last 5 or 6 years, it's really only Pickford that stands out as a good signing. Maybe Digne too. But other than that, not a great deal of quality has come into Everton. They've had players on high wages for a while, players who've come in and not really performed to the level of the wages offered. Then when you've got players who've come in and underperformed and new managers come in - they find themselves being unwanted and gone down in value because they've come into a club and looked dogshit. No manager since Roberto Martinez (and I don't even think he was very good) has lasted more than 70 matches. They've gone through so many managers who all have different styles and ideas, while also having 2 DoFs (also with their own styles and plans for the team) - they've not given themselves real stability to improve over a course of a couple seasons. Each manager that's come in and gotten sacked has come in with their own staff, who've also gotten the sack. That's a lot of expense in itself. The poor performances on the pitch have meant TV revenue's gone down compared to previous years where Everton weren't as shit. Things like COVID (£170m losses reported due to the pandemic) and spending a lot on players that don't perform with declining revenues over the years (looking like they're totaling over the £105m in losses allowed a year) add up. And it's a problem for Everton because you can't sell all your good players to get out of this financial hole if nobody wants to pay exorbitant amounts of money for those players. They managed to fleece Newcastle for that one dickhead they sold, but beyond that... who're they going to sell to get out of this financial hole? Pickford? How much can they get for him? I think they're even more fucked if they go down. I remember reading something saying they'd need to refinance a loan they've got for around £150m (not sure how that works out if their debt's meant to be £147m which was also in the same article, I'm pretty sure), with the way interest rates are right now that could be even more financial trouble for a club that's basically just a massive financial red flag. They're proof it takes more than just money to turn a club that's been mismanaged for a very long time around. That money needs to be spent with purpose, otherwise they might as well have just made a pile of money and lit it on fire and persisted with Roberto Martinez, giving him a minimal budget. Instead they've wasted an absolute fortune and look worse for it.

The next Elders Scrolls is probably 5-10 years out, probably closer to 10 years. So Fallout 5 has a ways to go before it comes out.

My Amazon subscription's biggest value is free shipping from Amazon tbh, as a streaming service it's not great. Awful awful UI, some good shows but also a load of shite. Netflix has the best UI of the streaming services but the only reason I've not canceled is because it's paid for by my wife's mobile plan. Netflix just doesn't have a lot of good content, tbh. Lots of shite but rarely anything I like. I think the Hulu, Disney, ESPN bundle is the best deal. You get a lot of decent content for less than Netflix costs. HBO Max is also better than Amazon & Netflix tbh.

I like when he suggests his mere presence in Saudi Arabia is a progressive force. He honestly could have said "Yeah, I went to Saudi Arabia because they're giving me a ridiculous amount of money and I don't give a flying fuck about gay people" and it would have come across as better than what he actually did say. Yeah I've fucked the story off to play space cowboy with the Freestar Rangers for a bit and it's been fun. I've also done a lot of random exploring because it's Bethesda and cool shit happens when you just go off and do random things. I haven't finished the quest line yet, I take these games pretty slow in my first playthrough. I bought the Longstar ship from the Eidos corporation as well because that was the cheapest ship where I could get a crew of 5 as quickly as possible. Pretty huge upgrade on the Frontier tbh for the combat. Best game I've played in a while. And honestly, best Bethesda game I've played in a while. And I say this as someone who loves the Elders Scrolls and Fallout games. It does a great job blending what made some of the older games so fucking great with some modern quality of life improvements added in. I've heard some people say Baldurs Gate 3 is game of the year, but I haven't played that... but I have played this and I'd say this is my game of the year as well. The space travel's got some people upset as it's "not really what they expected" - but if you don't just use the map for fast traveling and get around in space by just taking off from your ship each time and using your scan/grav drive to get around... you get all the random encounters and fun shit that happens out in your ship. I've fought many pirates, spacers, and those Va' Ruul cultists just flying around trying to go from place to place. I've had a number of random encounters (some of them are pretty funny).

If it's true club doctors were involved in treating her but not reporting the abuse, that's incredibly fucked up and they should be sacked. I get the club wanting to protect it's £90m+ pound investment in the player, but at the cost of a woman getting the shit beaten out of her? Nah, that's not okay - I think those doctors would have a moral obligation to report that. I don't want to do any shit point-scoring on a rival on this, even though it's probably low hanging fruit. Domestic abuse is far too serious of an issue to make light of. I don't really blame the club despite having Giggs, Ronaldo, Greenwood and Anthony - domestic violence is a societal issue, I don't think it's a part of the culture of the club. But I do think the club's PR probably needs to take steps to make it clear that condoning domestic abuse isn't a part of the club culture, because they don't want this to look like a pattern.

Starfield is fucking fantastic so far.

I don't know how they don't realise that if you imitate an angry misogynist... you're probably just dooming your life to being insecure, lonely, and angry. I understand that these kids are vulnerable and they're being targeted, I get it... I grew up, I was once an insecure, lonely (well I felt lonely, idk if I actually was lonely), and angry young boy. It's just sad to see how effective marketing bullshit towards these kids is so effective at building up a base of little misogynistic shitbags that act in a way that's never going to make them happy. I don't think it'll help them with women, for the most part. Some might end up successfully abusing some poor young women... but I think most women see that kind of shit and have a billion red flags come up.
