  1. @Dr. Gonzo Very interesting post above, you have a good understanding for me. I see similarities between the Caucasus and the Balkans though as you are aware the former is currently much more volatile.
  2. I've read people are using invermectin and it is helping. Also Pfizer is developing a tablet for the virus too as concerns grow the vaccines are not effective enough. Trump got criticised for taking a chlorine medicine and the MSN crowd criticised him yet we put this in drinking water and swimming pools so I would hesitate before rubbishing any of this. Let each person make their own decisions, just read Ireland is 93% vaccinated yet still implementing strong mask and lockdown protocols. You can bet over Christmas and New Year many more will react within the next couple of weeks again as they drink at this time of the year. Alcohol feeds infections.
  3. After WW1 the Turks attacked the Armenians who moved away to the East in modern day Armenia. Because of earlier times Turkey had influence further afield in places like Azerbaijan and across the Caspian sea you have Turkmenestan. Azerbaijan is still close to Turkey yet is separated by Armenia and has an enclave where Armenia bisects Azerbaijani territory. It would appear Azerbaijan wants to redraw the map and Turkey approves though Russia is more friendly to Armenia or at least does not want a strong Turkish presence in that area. Traditionally Turkey and Russia have different interests like in the Balkans for example.
  4. It is difficult to know with Hitler one alternative site did run with Hitler being in Argentina and a photo of an aged Hitler surrounded by family. Not sure myself though Leon De Grelle got out late and crash landed in Norway before getting to Spain where he was protected against extradition to the US. The Antarctica incident to me has nothing to do with the Russians yet the Nazis, allegedly a US naval commander by the name of Byrd sent a force down there 1946/47 and took causalities though it is all hush, hush The rumours are it was not just Nazis there yet something else. There is meant to be a magnetic anomaly under the ice suggestive of metallic structures, an anomaly. Explorers in Antarctica are also forcibly removed. There was that X-files movie, guess they took artistic license from a grain of truth yet good for the time.
  5. Agree that the risk identified on the table suggests it is less risky with the vaccine, yet you could understand hospital staff not conversant with these stats would judge the death numbers at face value. Currently almost 6-7x more deaths for vaccinated 2nd vaccine.
  6. Got a new pc otherwise would give a screen shot, yet public health Scotland has more vaccinated dying that un-vaccinated. However due to different population sizes of each group they state statistically that it is safer to be vaccinated yet that must still be pretty awkward to acknowledge that more vaccinated are currently dying than un-vaccinated. Table 20 , slide 49 https://publichealthscotland.scot/media/10091/21-11-10-covid19-publication_report.pdf Public Health England had a similar page yet removed it within 36 hours last time I looked again deaths of vaccinated were higher.
  7. Science presents itself as a know all yet it does not know all just the things it is funded to study. Then if they find a reaction or correlation they ask for volunteers who are all meant to be in good health to test their hypothesis. Now the companies pushing this will have shareholders and so publicity is carefully controlled so as to not affect the share price....... and then you have MPs receiving money for lobbying. I like history and remember Alexander the Great from northern Greece being in modern day Pakistan and his army revolting saying after 12 years on campaign they wanted to return home. Many of these were in their 60's and 70's. No vaccinations, drinking dubious stream and river water with just one meal a day.
  8. Things get covered up glad they are not telling us anymore that Germans are bayoneting Belgian babies. Then there was once WMDs in Iraq all a bit quiet on that now.
  9. Assuming they leave it will be interesting to see who comes in for them. Christensen was linked previously with Barca though according to reports only have £10m to spend unless they sell.
  10. I have read that too and think some European countries banned the Modena vaccine for under 30s
  11. To quote Ian Richardson in the House of Cards tv series, "I couldn't possibly comment"
  12. Mid term there is often unpopularity in the ruling party so it not necessarily indicative of the next election outcome though they would be wise no to take notice. I have heard of some areas where Conservatives may lose out due to H2N cutting through their counties and this could go either Green or LIbDem.
  13. So what will the Tory Grandees be thinking Green +5 how do we grab that vote? To be fair on surface rhetoric BJ seemed to be making the right noises though little action has permeated through. That might need to change before the election.
  14. This one turns very nasty in France as rent a mob turns up
  15. Agree on your support, I know from working Down Under at one charity shield match didn't notice until k.o when all the Utd fans came in. The numbers were surprising
  16. True yet your fan protests in the past have had some effect. They can't get the sponsorship revenue in half empty stadiums.
  17. Reminds me of that old British saying, 'He thinks the Sun shines out of his ass' Of course not suggesting that applies to your gramps just a concidence and mind trigger.
  18. Because of the commercial aspect and large support I don't see you being relegated any time soon. I would expect if you finish outside the top 6 for Ole to go at the end of the season and then for a big name to come in as manager. Of course the wrong choice might cause more problems.
  19. Here' s a collection of new stories from the US regions about vaccine controversy: Maine - closure of some ICU services as workers refuse mandatory vaccines. https://newsincontext.wordpress.com/2021/10/17/maine-hospital-planning-to-shut-down-large-portion-of-icu-if-unvaxxed-workers-do-not-comply/ NCY firefighters stand down over vaccines https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-11-04-nyc-begs-volunteer-firefighters-covid-jab-mandate.html# 12 Doctors (US) speak out about vaccine dangers https://www.naturalnews.com/2021-11-04-doctors-seriously-injured-covid-injections-speak-out.html Ontario and Quebec won't mandate jabs for health care workers, worried about shortages https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/great-news-folks-ontario-and-quebec-healthcare-jab-mandates-crushed/ LA Sheriff will not comly with mandatory vaccines http://www.stationgossip.com/2021/11/los-angeles-county-sheriff-wont-enforce.html Chicago judge says cops that won't take vaccine cannt be fired. https://americanmilitarynews.com/2021/11/judge-says-chicago-cant-fire-cops-who-defy-vaccine-mandate-for-now/ Doctors blow the whistle on vaccine injuries despite job risk https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2021/11/01/doctors-blow-the-whistle-on-vaccine-deaths-and-injuries/
  20. I think Ole will last the season, he seems to know what team to play every time his name is linked with an early exit. That prospect may not excite too many Utd fans though.
  21. Yes we are poor in the forward department. Havertz seems technically our best CF yet he missed 2 or maybe even 3 yesterday though did contribute a pre-assist for the goal. I think with Lukaku we have bought a counter-attacking striker and we won't be able to provide him with the required service with our posession based football (hope i am proved wrong). It's great our WBs are creating with goals yet when the pressure is on and they are not scoring we will need a CF to make his presence known.
  22. Here's one I remember when working for a bank, a girl annoyed as a chap had stood her up at lunch time bought him a pint of guinness. She hid it in her coat walked back up the High Street past security into the lift and put on his desk. Think he was a bit shocked when he saw it. They never became an item although everyone expected they would.
  23. I thought of that too, though recall people spinning it at full pelt with the small frightened kid on it while all his friends ran off.
  24. That's bad your Dad also catching it if they are double vaccinated....... Anyway hope they recover soon.
