Nunez off at half time, what the fuck -

Some of the fouls given against us in that half are ridiculous when you consider how physical Brentford are. Toney and Maupay only need to be touched and they get a free kick -

Defo thought we'd have seen Gomez in one of the full back positions. Otherwise probably as expected. Bench looking quite strong anyway -

Alisson out tomorrow, apparently a hamstring injury. Not what we needed going up against a team like Brentford who have caused us so many problems from set pieces in the two away games we've had there since they've been up. -

Just seen the penalty that Sheff Utd got at Luton as they showed it during the Liverpool game. No way is that a penalty -

No Alisson or Gomez so assuming they're two who had the flu. Endo straight back. -
I've still not seen Arsenal's celebrations on Sunday as I left the pub when the third went in so don't know what they were like. It's definitely become a bigger thing in this country since Klopp though. I even saw a couple of neutral ex players mention that the other week.

Thiago doesn't have to agree to terminating his contract and why should he? Liverpool knew he was injury prone when they signed him, that was the risk they took. We'd have certainly liked him to have been available a lot more over the last 12 months but I think we all knew when he signed he was going to be a player that played around 30 games a season. Was it worth the financial risk? Probably not but I'm not having comments that I've seen elsewhere that say he was useless or a pointless signing. There was a point where Liverpool were unbeatable when both he and Fabinho started games. I also think he will have helped in some way in the transition from what was a pretty functional midfield in the early Klopp years to the one that controls games much better that we see today. Probably had a very good influence on the younger midfielders at the club too
-
Aside from the fact they wouldn't just be able to terminate his contract without good reason or if it was a mutual agreement, they'd still have to pay him off. I don't see what benefit that is to the club or player? I don't see Klopp treating a player like that either unless he's done something badly wrong, do you? It's shit that he's been injured all season and then come back and got injured again but he'd have been extremely useful in the latter part of the season if he was fit. Let's hope it's not too serious.

Why would they have done that?

This is exactly what I was thinking!

Bizarre comparison to make

You're getting the two Froch v Groves fights mixed up. There was nothing dodgy about the stoppage in the second fight

Conflicting reports over the severity of Szoboszlai's injury. Some saying he'll be out 3-4 weeks, some saying it's not as bad as that. Hopefully the latter

Anyone else find the non celebration from players against former clubs a bit fake? There's nothing wrong with celebrating a goal as long as it's not in a disrespectful way. -
Fury v Usyk postponed. What a surprise

I don't think they'd have done that with the penalty at only 2-0. Don't think Nunez should have been near either though, as much as I like him. Mac Allister should have been on it -
Probably right. Different eras obviously and there's a number of differences. Only 2 points for a win up until the early 80s as well when a draw in a lot of scenarios away from home for example would be seen as fine. Whereas what Klopp has been up against in Man City, you're having to win close to 30 games just to challenge them.
