  3. Week 4 Results Burnley 1-1 Blackburn Toulouse 1-3 Marseille Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Porto Valencia 1-1 Villarreal Portland Timbers 1-0 Seattle Sounders Celtic 3-0 Rangers Club Brugge 3-0 Cercle Brugge Copenhagen 3-1 Brondby Feyenoord P-P Ajax Independiente 0-0 River Plate Round-up A total of 7 rivalries/derbies to contend with for Week 4, albeit due to a police strike the Der Klassieker between Feyenoord vs Ajax was called off. Nonetheless, it still didn't put off @6666 from attaining the highest score of the week, getting 17 points from the remaining 9 games. That meant he shot up to 1st place and now leads @nawoo by two points. The other 2 players in the top 4 swapped places too - @RandoEFC overtaking @Rucksackfranzose after outscoring him by 3 points and getting the 2nd highest score of the week (16 pts). There's a little bit of a gap forming after the top 4, with 3 players - @Viva la FCB / @Azeem / @Spike - all now on 46 points. Just one behind them is @Tommy who got 14 points. @CaaC (John) takes up the impressive feat of not getting a single outcome correct and the only points he gained were for actually just getting some predictions in...
  4. What does that do for a club, out of interest? Improve facilities, help with wages etc?
  5. all that faff and they've still come unstuck:

  7. Whether we gained an advantage from exposing this loophole is very much an argument to be debated
  8. To have no regard for rules that don't work? Usually rules are foolproof and rigid. PL's rules clearly weren't. I think clubs that have done things differently have done it in spite of the rules, not because the PL can turn around and say well done.
  9. Would also just like to point out that I have no love for the fact my club did probably break the rules. But I do love the fact that the sham organisation that the PL have currently become are unable to enforce their own rules because of their own technicalities and loopholes. We're no saints in all of this, but being able to hire a decent lawyer to fight our case has worked wonders in showing the PL up for the amateurs they purport to be.
  10. We've won our appeal against PL charging us with breach of PSR threshold. Sounds like we got off on a major technicality and rely on PL's wording of their rules.

  12. A 3-2 away win involving Leverkusen getting prediction of the week. Interesting.
  13. Yeah it needs to be nipped in the bud before it gets going, at least on these shores. Football clubs are known for fleecing fans these days so it wouldn't surprise me if clubs are already thinking of incorporating it. Put simply, it just cannot be allowed to start. There's already categorisations/banding of games for tickets for most clubs - but at least the fan knows what they'll need to pay at any point before the fixture. It just cannot be fair that the closer the event or more demand it has, then you have to pay more. Football clubs should be serving of the fans and looking out for their best interests, not to mention during a cost-of-living crisis or where money is tight for the average match-goer. Take Dusseldorf for example - they are looking at making ways to be resourceful and making home games free of charge (is this still a thing @Tommy?). Once again a German club showing the way to be protective of the fans' interests, not seek out to exploit as much money out of them as possible.
  14. I've overtaken @Dan's mantle of being completely shite at this game
  15. 3 for me. Get hammered vs Palace, then beat Everton. Cooper has to start Mavididi, Buonanotte and El Khannous. Ndidi can not and should not ever be played as a 10 again. Bizarre to attempt it let alone stick with it after half time when it clearly wasn't working. To hang on to the subs until after they scored their 2nd was poor management. Should have been proactive and influenced the game when we weren't creating any real chances but had 3 creative players on the bench. Two of which made an instant impact when they came on. After watching highlights I can say I was wrong about Coote for the Vardy penalty incident. But everything else was dogshit from him. While he didn't lose us the game, he definitely lost control of it early on. Seemed to end up guessing for most decisions.
