I’ve not read this it’s late it’s a big post. On drug prices drugs initially cost money they’re expensive they’re produced on license for a fixed period then after that period they can be produced elsewhere as the forumula is made available by the regulators to whomever wants it so the price comes down due to increased supply. So sanofi for example will get a drug spend millions and 5-10 years getting it corrrevt rested, approved via clinical trials etc etc. The regulator ratifies it and they get a 5 year license. At which point Sanofi sell high because they have the monopoly on the market and they need to recoup the initial investment and turn a 5 year profit that satisfies investors so it will be within the ballpark of 50% at this point they know this is a finite bubble so they start on the next cycle. This is the cycle of pharmaceuticals. This idea that the NHS can dictate price does make me laugh, sure bulk buying may get a better discount but the regulator and market competitors do more globally. The NHS cater for a domestic market. Paracetamol used to cost tens of dollars a tab and now you get 20 tablets in the U.K. for under a £1 for example. I know this because I know a very senior guy at sanofi and I know a company that makes the machines for replicating pharma process for” pirating” (their term) these drugs once the license runs out. 70% is paperwork and litigation In pharma, that’s what impacts costs. Also why does a private health system automatically get compared to America? Why not like Belgium where it’s compuldory health insurance? I agree at free at the point of use car for u18 and life threatening injuries such as A&E but too many fatties taking the piss out of an over burdened system is really the problem. Also I have private health with work not a big fuss at all -

Ok hoax is the wrong word, but it’s been played up. Have you ever took a kid to hospital? You sit in a seating area for hours while a bed becomes available, this kid was initially dealt with deemed low enough risk to remove from his bed and await a new bed while his bed was given to another patient. This kid who doesn’t have pneumonia was waiting for a second bed. Mommy who’s a corbyn loving knobhead Riggs up a makeshift bed takes photos and sends them to the media. It’s election time so suddenly an everyday occurrence in the NHS is dynamite. Now the Mirror go to town on it. Because the mirror would tell you “jimmy has been misjudged”if Jimmy Saville was the labour leader they’re that far up the labour parties arse. Also what is it “the NHS is the envy of the world” or “a shithole” I remember pre Blair NHS mate I know who did the fucking damage it was new labour No you wouldn’t, absolute clusterfuck of incompetence. For example one plan is a 4 day working week with their chancellor insisting it does effect the NHS and their Health minister telling them it will cost the NHS Billions . And as you can see about the electorate is swayed by emotive shite like some kid having to wait for hours like every fucking kid ever in the NHS The reality is that MPs are actually really shit jobs now with poor salary for London so unfortunately you’ve got morons infesting the spectrum. -

They’re capitalist countries, it’s not a like for like comparison anyway but they have successful social welfare policies. There’s like 5 million people in a resource rich country that are spread over a large area so they have a much healthier and richer healthier social lifestyle anyway. We on the other hand have 64m people with significant portions packed into over crowded metropolitan shitholes and our society is based around binge drinking or eating or watching fucking tell so our health is atrocious. The can afford social welfare because they actively engage in their own, we can’t afford similar programs because as a society we wait for the state to wipe our arse for us. I’ve seen a lot about “facts” and truths in this thread, the simple fact is all political parties talk shite and say what they like to gain favour or votes. I’ve tuned out now really and vote on core principles, they’re the only constant in Politics. Its simple; conservatism = less tax so more basic state functions and you keep more money to do as you see fit. The equivalent of a self catering holiday. My kind of deal, I’ll spend my money on what I want because it’s my money, I have private health I’d happily opt out the NHS, my premiums are low as aside from the one day a month when I do my monthly alcohol allowance in a 3-4 hour period I’m healthy I don’t smoke, eat right and go the gym. labour = more tax so more state functions and less money to do as you see fit. The equivalent of an all inclusive holiday. Not my deal (although I do go all inclusive for the kids when we go) because basically like any all inclusive it gets stagnant. Plus state run enterprises are so inefficient we’re massively overpaying for a totally shite service. Politics is fucked in this country anyway I live in a solid labour seat and they blindly vote for the useless bastards every election and they’re lot marginally gets shitter and shitter. The reasons locally why they vote labour are mainly “thatcher” “bankers” “posh” it’s Idiotic in the extreme. The problem is these mongols breed and they’re kids grow up just as tribal and as a result you get a new generation of mindless labour voters and because of that Labour will never actually get their act together and will always just get the heartland votes. Look at this thread wall to wall Labour, Corbyn is a shit storm of idiocy yet all these saying they’re going to vote labour . The very definition of mindless tribal politics. I was speaking to a Geordie mate earlier who said he’d vote Boris, I laughed and he said “fuck my da was a miner, he’ll be spinning in his grave. But they (labour voters) just don’t see they’ve (labour) not got a grasp of how economics work the daft cunts”. Both wrong, ironic you post about incorrect info by twisting this to suit your leanings. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/technology-50726500 that says 88% of the most widely spread ads are incorrect where they’ve leapt to get to the £2400 figure that’s not 88% of all ads are wrong. Also shows Lib Dem’s and Labour aren’t innocent either. Also that kid in Leeds Hospital was a hoax from a labour supporter mother. It’s also worth noting that if labour hadn’t spunked all of our money up the wall in 2010 with there inept fiscal policy (something that happens every time) and flogged off our gold to fund illegal wars in the Middle East and privatised large parts of the NHS then maybe then there might be some money for hospital beds. Anyway like all electrons I call it based on the mood of the cross sections of society I speak to and I’m confident of a Tory majority here. -

Think they’re accurate this time. Certainly in our society (tv, radio etc) and higher education system aimed at the 20-30 demographic there’s a championing of socialist policies and politics. As you get older and gain experience in the real world you see it for the shite it is. -

It’s the politics of envy always has always will be with this current Labour Party. Although I saw something earlier that summed your arguments up. “ For those of you reciting the 'Tories defend the rich' argument, read this. It's worth it, I assure you. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to £100... If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this... The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing. The fifth would pay £1. The sixth would pay £3. The seventh would pay £7.. The eighth would pay £12. The ninth would pay £18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay £59. So, that's what they decided to do.. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve ball. "Since you are all such good customers," he said, "I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by £20". Drinks for the ten men would now cost just £80. The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes. So the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men? The paying customers? How could they divide the £20 windfall so that everyone would get his fair share? They realised that £20 divided by six is £3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by a higher percentage the poorer he was, to follow the principle of the tax system they had been using, and he proceeded to work out the amounts he suggested that each should now pay. And so the fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% saving). The sixth now paid £2 instead of £3 (33% saving). The seventh now paid £5 instead of £7 (28% saving). The eighth now paid £9 instead of £12 (25% saving). The ninth now paid £14 instead of £18 (22% saving). The tenth now paid £49 instead of £59 (16% saving). Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But, once outside the bar, the men began to compare their savings. "I only got a pound out of the £20 saving," declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,"but he got £10!" "Yeah, that's right," exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a pound too. It's unfair that he got ten times more benefit than me!" "That's true!" shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get £10 back, when I got only £2? The wealthy get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison, "we didn't get anything at all. This new tax system exploits the poor!" The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up. The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had their beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill! And that, boys and girls, journalists and government ministers, is how our tax system works. The people who already pay the highest taxes will naturally get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas, where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier. David R. Kamerschen, Ph.D. Professor of Economics. For those who understand, no explanation is needed. For those who do not understand, no explanation is possible.” you’re the guy drinking for free . Also as Johnny Mac is involved this sums him up perfectly to -

Think you’re missing the wider point Stan, by a mile. Haven't paid attention to any of the incidents mentioned nor do I really care. I’m talking about the tone of the posts, aren’t going to welcome debate “slimy bitch” and “vile cunt” aren’t exactly screaming “let’s have a civilised debate”. Step back from it Stan would you say taking to or about a women like that is ok? I acknowledge I’m probably guilty of it from the other side of it sometimes to. But there’s clearly a left bias here so the point I was making is that although you’re probably the minority (which given the fact left wing politics in this country is the minority) you’ve monopolised this platform of debate by making it uninviting for differing opinions. Why would you put yourself out as a Tory supporter to invite the shit that comes with it here? I get tagged in random threads about random stuff whenever There’s a mention of racism with stuff like “bet fairy likes this” it doesn’t bother me more than the inconvenience of wasting my time. But if you’re right on a particular issue why would you even bother putting your hand up for this shit? You wouldn’t hence why polling is starting to be fucked and “shy Toryism” is a thing. Civil discourse has broken down. That mate is more worrying than anything because that’s how society & cohesion breaks down. Disagree with it all you want mate, it’s your forum I’m just telling you why this section is fundamentally broken and has become a none event of a discussion board -

Lovely sentiments there, a real welcoming discussion board, the result is the below Not saying deadlinesman is a Tory, but you guys have got what you deserve in this thread tbh. That a fucking tedious echo chamber. I stick around and give it back because I’m a bit of a cunt who likes to troll a bit but I can’t devote the time to seriously debate it all nor should I. most on the politics board will have been chased off from debate with this sort of nastiness in reality. Odd that it’s from the same types who usually are the ones whinging about politics of hate too. A shame for the forum really and politics as a whole. -

It’s far to simplistic to just say cuts when talking about all these issues. Also they weren’t cuts as in £10bn this year 8bn next it was 10bn then 10bn the year after so funding wasn’t keeping up with inflation, we all do that each year, can you say your wage increase matches the cost of living? Our borrowing costs had sored as we lost our credit rating, you have to cut your cloth accordingly. Thats the big thing I hate with British politics as a whole, there’s this idea that money solves things. The problems we have are the results of several long standing issues within our society that have been as a result of several governments over multiple years from either side of the spectrum. NHS is fucked because of multiple factors, too many managers - this is true of any civil service but in the NHS it’s on speed, it’s convoluted red tape neatly wrapped up in a cluster fuck that is political anthema to even suggest sorting it out as the moronic electorate bleat on as if you’ve just punched a disabled kid whenever you suggest taking an axe to it. shit buying and inefficient process . I know medical sales people, have been on several courses with them and one of the sectors I deal with is cap ex investments in the pharmaceutical production industry. They take the piss because frankly health services allow them to, wrong people in wrong positions, making silly decisions. Privatise the purchase of it and you would see greater efficiency. Although the of you subsidise this privitisation then private companies will take the piss like they do on trains etc. health tourism - it goes on it’s taking the piss it needs to stop old population - they live longer and cling to life, ethunasia should be legal. If there’s no quality of life why prolong the agony? Increased birth deficiency- bluntly moms don’t breed till late 30’s it makes them higher risk for birth defects. Also in immigrant populations birth defects are high due to inbreeding. Just facts fat population - to many chunks having knee ops because they buckle at 40, or on tablets because they can’t stop eating. Diabetes is rampant and as a society we’re pushing shite like “plus size models”. Frankly we’re becoming a nation of lazy fat cunts and it should stop. Furthermore on that mental illness is rampant to, there’s nothing better for you than physical activity to make you feel better and clear your mind. If you get up go to work, eat shit, read shit then get home and do the same how are you going to feel? Shit. Not an NHS issue but the only time I’d agree with throwing more money at the money pit would be if we didn’t throw it at it at all. I’d back a plan to build every school a playing field and increase children’s hours by 5 hours a week with an hour for physical activity every day up until ages 18. That would sort the fucking mess out. Its not just the NHS, you blame cuts to police but in reality it’s increased population and declining morals that has more of an effect. Knife crime in particular is a problem predominantly with young black males, people talk about toxic masculinity and for the most part it’s fat feminist twats that don’t have a fucking clue what it is, they just use it liberally and get all pissy when some bloke on the tube doesn’t want to crush his bollocks willingly. On our streets in urban areas with large ethnic populations predominantly black kids are stabbing one another. One problem is the toxic masculinity of Black society it’s the need to be hard or perceived as “hard” the breakdown of the family unit is huge in the black community, it’s a stereotype that black men don’t stick around as as you get more of a black middle class this stereotype falls down but coming from the area I did there’s no dads, if they were around they came and went. Boys strives to be men before they were and the early teens which are a man’s most formative years the absence of fathers or family units led to many creating gangs or sealing acceptance of older boys. Boy form a hierarchy based on violence in their teens, nowadays the stake have risen and they use knives. No amount of police will stop this, it requires a cultural change. I’ve robbed at knifepoint I’ve been attacked with a bat all in my teens, the two lads that did both were black off the estate and I’ve seen them both spend the majority of their 20’s locked away. Coupled with this council areas are being gentrified by champagne socialist hipster types and the sudden spike in land value is swaying greedy councils (in my case a feckless Labour one) to force these people out and into areas with a pre existing hierarchy, causing turf wars. These same hipsters and I’d bet half the cunts on this board have a huge problem with snorting the by product of the cocoa plant up they’re snouts at every given opportunity causing the problem to get worse as the market gets more lucrative for kids who idiolise gangsters and drug dealers as someone who has done well in life. Regarding Bias, I’m anti labour I’ve lived under Labour all my life and you’ve never met a greater bunch of clowns. I’m actually not anti corbyn as in I hate him, I don’t know the bloke. I think he’s inept and his policies are shit because they don’t actually work. But hate is a strong word, dislike them sure. This is why I’m for more independent wealth and greater responsibility for individuals themselves, we’re just wasting money until someone has the bollocks to call this shit out. No I know what socialism is, it’s That the means of production be owned by the community as a whole. In this case tax is the means of production and more tax equals more state dependency and less individual wealth. After all Labour are on about nationalising everything at the minute, even football. Just think when Corbyn forces Klopp to join Arsenal comrade. Mate you of all people should know the folly of this, Iran have just turned theirs off have they not? Not to say that capitalism isn’t without its pitfalls, greed played a part in May’s horrendous decision to jump into bed with huawei over 5G. Disgusting decision but shows the danger we’re facing from China No they’ve been walking back socialist policies for some time because they’re unsustainable. Sweden is fast becoming a mess and Norway the richest state also has large natural resources like North Sea gas and oil. Read a dictionary it’s there. But I guess self assessment or deprication aren’t you’re strong point because you’re never wrong. You’re literally like my 4 year old daughter when she’s being entitled. Anyone that claims they know what those living on the breadline in this country needs while posting selfies of themselves “pondering Brexit on the neopolitan Riviera” yet claims there’s no such thing as a champagne socialist can’t be taken seriously. -

Stan you’re a socialist you believe in more tax and more spend and the government doing more for you. Champagne socialist is just a term to describe the middle class labour voters who are at odds with the traditional working class heartlands. The type of people that read the guardian where as traditional labour read the mirror. Typically nowadays they’re 20-35 enjoy Costa and Starbucks and have fitbits. Well his plan to nationalise BT has been quoted at 100 billion, and his magic money tree will initially be lending but then when the taps turn off it will be funded by cuts to our education system, health system, defence, science programs etc as we probably have another ten years of Tory cuts to rebalance the mess Labour leave again. It will be the third time in 60 years if so hence the scrutiny. Lets say we get “free broadband” it’s not really free, we’ll have to pay more tax to cover it and then it’s state ran so it’s brutally inefficient and due to lack of competition because nationalisation creates a monopoly it will fall behind more innovative free markets so ultimately it’s going to cost us more. The upkeep alone will continue to grow year upon year and rival companies will be ruined and their jobs gone. Also look at China, China a communist country with heavy state ownership of everything, what’s their record like on the internet? I think at this point if you can’t see this for the lunacy, this is Venezuela style garbage it is, then you’re just so bias you can’t make sense of it all. It’s not free though is it, it’s a cost to me you everyone we’ll all pay for it. And actually because uni has become so expensive it’s starting to churn out better quality now because those on a 3 year doss and a leisure and tourism degree have been priced out the market. Socialism’s fundamental flaw again and again. If half you’re class don’t take it seriously and there’s no pressure as it’s cost you nothing are you going to really excel? The levelling of the playing field creates stagnant monopolies which ultimately drags standards down not up. Great example is football (which he’s also look at nationalising ) Liverpool and Man City are the top sides, if we were to take half their squad and swap them with the players in the bottom half clubs, to ensure that the bottom clubs can keep up? If we kept reigning them iN would they then go on to dominate Europe? No we would fall behind Spain & Germany. Instead other clubs are forced to innovate and improve to catch them. Frankly given the last hundred years have been littered with countless examples of socialism failing and ultimately costing millions of lives you would think this nonsense was dead, I’m not impressed that your votes are so easily bought -

Oh I’m not someone who revels in the fracturing of the country, i do feel that it’s a huge hissy fit though by remainers in general, like you say not all. There is a certain type they tend to be what I would call a champagne socialist. I’ve never lived under a none labour constituency, I’m from genuinely one of the poorest estates in the country (although out now) I find the talk of these university educated socialist types laughable because the only ones that get out the shit are the ones that take it upon themselves to get out. Increased social welfare is squandered trust me I spent 18 months in Clair shorts constituency Ladywood at that time the highest claimants for what is now universal credit in the country, the comfort it provides enables idleness. All the ones who got out and have made something of themselves don’t agree with socialism. They probably agree with increased education and I would to however our governments and civil servants have a tendency to just throw cash at problems and not a good plan as how to improve anything. Therefore I’d rather not waste the cash. Thats why I poke fun on here more than I would do in real life, the ridiculousness of some of the fear about leaving it’s hilarious, in particular Sir Balon, who I very much pigeon hole as a champagne socialist, probably lump Stan, Danny, gunnersarus, Inverted in that. Dodger is just old labour, the other Liverpudlians likewise brought up on a steady diet of Tory hate. Smiley I’d say is old labour but also with an inferiority complex about anyone with money, reckon he’s about 5ft in real life. On here I do like to give it out, because it gets dished out to me. I’m not really offended by what I get called etc, I’d probably say the only time it gets on my tits is when I get needlessly tagged in topics I’m not participating in just to be called “racist” or “homophobic” neither of which I actually am, for some shit attempt at like whoring. Here is very different from the country as a whole, just look at the ratio or remain to Brexit. In fairness so is most social media really, there’s a conitation that goes with being a brexiteer, similarly to the “shy Tory” phenomenon. It’s almost assumed that’s that your “far right” Danny or Cark or whatever his name is loves that one. I’m a brexiteer, I believe the EU is fundamentally un democratic and I don’t like the way it’s heading, I feel Germany as the economic power house will always call the shots by proxy as it leverages it’s financial influence on lesser states to vote as it does already. Because of this I think on occasion it will be at odds with the best interests of the U.K. and therefore I’d rather take our chances outside the union. If we fuck it up oh well we have ourselves to blame but I’d rather be free to make our own choices than rely on others. Of course we will have to compromise and broker deals with other nations but it’s better to try yourself and do it yourself than rely on others to provide for you. But that’s also my politics I’m fundamentally against big government and more for individual accountability. Hence I vote Tory I’m anti immigrantion simply because it’s been handled abysmally with long running social problems that have yet to rear their head but will. I disagree with religion but particularly Islam, but we know that criticism of this must be racist. I’m not anti gay, believe they can do what they like they’re just a bit tedious how they let their gayness suddenly become their sole personality trait. My cousins gay he used to have varying conversations about multiple issues, now once “out”all roads lead to “lgbtwhatever”, it’s boring. Oh and fuck gender neutral it’s mental illness I’m all about science on gender. Dont like veganism, I think it’s bullshit. I work in automation of food factories don’t eat quorn or crisps both are shit for you. I don’t think the earth is flat. I agree humans are having an effect on climate change but think it’s not being managed properly and has just become a way to raise tax. I’d privitse the NHS, make everyone have health insurance but make exceptions for under 18’s and long term health conditions. Btw this is just for future reference FYI. Nah I think Brexit party are done now, Tories tend to be more smarter so will vote tactically, Labour in northern heartlands tend to be thick so will vote Brexit, which btw I’d agree with you are probably more Tory than the Tories but “Nigel has a pint” so “he’ll give the bastards what for”. I predict a outright majority now -

Lol just lol. It won’t pass Parliament as the majority don’t want to leave and the oppourtunitg yo rubbish this deal and campaign for a second referendum. Its all smoke and mirrors anyway because this is election positioning from Boris. Tories will say, look we had a deal, Labour, Lib dems SNP walked away and forced the extension. Give us a majority and we’ll get this deal agreed and leave by the end of the extension. The damage was by extended it without looking like seriously trying to leave risks the Brexit party chomping into Tory votes.
