  1. Trippier will move to left back at first. Livramento right back. If it doesn't work then Hall will come in. See it as an opportunity to progress as opposed to a major set back.
  2. It is a blow to us over the course of the season. If fully fit midfield we should be good enough for top 6 without him.
  3. There's so much inconsistency so far in punishing dissent. Even within games. I suppose that might be fine if they punish enough times to make it a deterrent. Jury's still out for me whether they will. Without doubt there's going to be teams that pay a price which another team on another day doesn't. That could determine big events. Ensue bitterness. It's always been the case that outcomes for a season are impacted by what ref you got what day and what day that ref was having. Far more of an impact than it should have for this sport to be fair.
  4. Why Mike Dean did what he did has been totally lost in all this. Managers and players have created a toxic culture that has got referees scared. To the point a ref compromised professional integrity for compassion. Whilst I'm all for putting a mic on the refs like in Rugby, it has to coincide with strong discipline from managers and players or refs will be on a further hiding to nothing.
  5. It's embarrassing for the club and the city. Big test for Amnesty International though. If they can't disrupt this then they're not worth much more than a few lines to fuel the clickbait industry. The Saudi's have priced in that we have nothing more than words.
  6. You dont get much from the first episode. Maybe some embarrassing comments about Anthony Gordon and a surprising confidence about finishing in the top 4 in January.
  7. Never said open the gates, I was merely saying we are talking about FFP only ever from the context of the commercial elite. I ask this, why is the safety of Malcolm Glazier's leveraging more of a vocalised concern to a Crystal Palace Fan than say Aston Villa having walked straight past you and Brentford with mass outside investment? We are so bent to viewing the world through the lens of the commercial elite. We are accepting the fate of some clubs, like Palace, as if unimportant. To accept the numbers currently allowed and capable of bypassing. The fear is more turn up if the rules are removed? Doesn't that sum up the often remarked point that FFP is to protect the status quo of the time it was written.
  8. This is the problem with England's FFP. It was supposed to stop bad decisions that ruin clubs but people only talk about it in terms of stopping people challenging the hegemony of the commercial elite. We've lost sight of the Leeds United the rules are supposed to be grounded in.
  9. When it happens it is going to be a horrible day for Spurs fans. I'm sure a lot will genuinely shed a tear.
  10. To be fair its Wimbledon rather than central London. The middle class don't wait 20 minutes for a bus to Waitrose.
  11. No one is actually under 21 in that team though are they? It's like getting to the final of an under 7s cup with teenagers

It's surprising how fast you reach the twitter limit imposed this evening.
  14. That 3rd kit is embarrassing. They tested the waters last year with white and green and now they've gone all in. It reminds me when Cardiff tried to change colours and rename the club to appeal to another market. Most people I know don't care though. They just see it as a money maker pointless 3rd kit. That's what the white one was supposedly going to be and then they started wearing it more than the 2nd kit.
  15. The point of English Cricket has always been to fill time whilst the women make the afternoon tea. I'm not sure the colonies realised that's what the gentry were doing.
  16. The good thing is once out of date next season it can then be used as a tea towel
  17. What is the point in getting there if Haaland will be all time top scorer the week after Kane gets there
  18. I honestly thought you were talking about a breakout of spots.
  19. To be fair I don't know how this was only a yellow card
  20. I can tell you now that offline no one really talks about it. People are only talking about the football. Even other fans don't talk about anything but the football to you. It had its moment when the takeover was happening, then the topic moved on, it only pops up as the occasional open chat, not the aggressive closed chat online. It's not really possible to follow Newcastle online any more in a cross-fan environment. Have you ever wondered why a fanbase as big as Man City's only ever had 1 representative on here, someone who had to adopt an odd personna to shut down the constant drag on his clubs threads? Including by me in the past. That's us now. That's the us you are going to see. The environment encourages the queer and the novel.
