They're going in a "different direction". No more appealing to the hardcore internet fans / smart marks. It's going to feel more like a developmental show as opposed to a modern wrestling show. I'm not going to watch it as it doesn't appeal to me but I can see why they're doing it.
The class of performers they have at the Performance Centre are allegedly people they have huge hopes for. They include Parker Boudreaux, Rick Steiner's son, Odyssey Jones, The Rock's Daughter and now American Gold Medalist Gable Stevenson. They need to create the best pathway for them to get to stardom and putting them in front of smart NXT fans who want to cheer for a 5ft 8 technically sound indie worker whilst they're still learning is not going to be it.
If one of the names they're bringing through makes it as a huge star then the whole revamp will be worth it as that one name would bring in more money to the company (sponsors, stock holders, Saudi blood money, merch etc) than all the temporarily disgruntled NXT fans who probably watch for free on Daily Motion anyway would.
I think that's unfair on NXT. During its peak, NXT was the perfect mix of indie darlings and developmental talent.

Wrestling is weird. I mean nxt is better than raw and smackdown yet they still bring in more money. Not to sure why? Kids watching, merchandise maybe?
Wrestling isn't about wrestling.
If people watched Wrestling for wrestling then old school NXT with UE, Gargano, Andrade, Ciampa, Ricochet and Alister Black would have been globally revered, NXT UK would actually have an audience and NJPW would be the largest company.
Wrestling is just a vehicle for hammy drama.
Take game of thrones for example. Plenty of women aged 18-35 watched game of thrones. Plenty of bros too. You think many of them started reading wheel of time, or watched the lord of the rings after it ended? No, the fantasy was just a vehicle for cocks, tits and drama. Wrestling is no different and that's why Alexa blisses possessed toy and fat Chris Jerichos hot tub segments will beat Ilia Dragunov vs Walter or Shingo Takagi vs Okada every time.-

What do you mean "Even me"?
I don't hate AEW by nature, I just don't see them as the savior of wrestling. The company to save us from WWE that lives off the back of WWEs cast aways.
Remember how AEW was gonna make Spears and Rusev the stars they deserved to be?
Didn't happen because Spears is a competent jobber and Ru Ru was only as good as Aiden English made him.
AEW is better run than WWE, but that's like saying your honda civic is faster than a go kart
And yes I thought it was a well handled return-

@Devil-Dick Willie what happened to the milk this season?
Also a good family friend is a diehard Tigers supporter and I always make sure to read his comments on the team at the start of the season. Him overrating bit part players, commenting on what players are in the wrong position, etc. Then he will make a bold 'top eight easily' and then after the first week all he does is complain how bad the team is. It's so good.
I think it's mental fatigue. They came so close, twice, and came up short. They're out of gas. -
@Stan rest it, I wouldn't ice it post injury, but a heat pack during times of rest is a good idea. If it's still causing major discomfort 3 days post, go to a physio.

The next one...
A bit disappointed with the transfer fee. Reportedly only 4.5m with 1m add-ons.
Such an odd market if one of our genuine few high quality players (even though I didn't rate him as highly as others) leaves for 5.5 mil, but Josh Fucking Sargent goes for 10.

@Devil-Dick Willie apparently the latest offer is 1.8m transfer fee + additional clauses/bonuses bringing it to a total of 2.5m.
Also, we're being linked with Ducksch.
Now that's a very interesting signing. Promotion seems realistic if that's the case!

Sure. Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavian, Balkan countries and the likes. I agree with you there. But I would say that it's still not easy to find players there who fit into our preferred profile (young, with enough potential to develop in the future, but also good enough already to help us instantly) and then convince their clubs to sell them for peanuts. Just seeing how negotiations over Kastrati went with Zagreb, it looks like we're not in a position to be offering more than ~2 million Euro for a player.
Have we lost the option for Kastrati permanently?

Let's see. With the money those around us are spending they should blow us out of the water.
Klopp yesterday: -"I’m very happy with the squad, that doesn’t mean we don’t look at the market. We have a big squad and something might still happen before the end of the transfer window but I can’t say anything at the moment,” he said
I'll bump this conversation near the end of the season.
If you're still in the hunt to win the league with 10 wins to go you win.
-
You're in for a nasty shock I think, because it doesn't look like you're on your way to making any big moves, and Spike is right about a few things. You have several injury prone key players, not too much depth and Klopp burnout is real.

Even though we're making good money on Sargant and Milot? Damn.

I wouldn't want to be in his position, to be honest. A bit hard to sign quality players with no money available
We are now a giant in a land of minews. We need to use our name and the promise to go back to the Bundesliga to attract players.
Junuzovic cost dirt. Surely there is talent to be pilfered from Sweden and Austria? -
I'd happily see the back of Osako, I'm sad Jojo is gone, he was ready to take the league by storm IMO, very surprised he "had no future" here.
Would happily see the back of Sargant, for the right compensation. I just don't see a particularly good player in there. -
