Before Neymar had gone or Barça even knew Neymar was dealing behind their backs, the plan was to bring in three players which were Verratti, Mina or Iñigo Martínez and Coutinho.  The funds were there for all three players.

yeah mate but what im trying to say is they wouldnt have spent 150mill (or whatever that number is) for Coutinho if Neymar didnt leave. Just trying to dispute what teso posted in the previous thread about barcelona's spending.

  2. @SirBalon and @6666 I know that, especially about Dembele. But I only asked that Q because of the numbers posted above which included the purchases of Dembele and Coutinho but not the sale of Neymar. If Neymar wasnt sold then their spending wouldnt be that high as they wouldnt have bought in those two players.  In short, it should be the net spending that should be considered, moreover barcelona would proably be still happy to keep nemyar instead of dembele and possibly countinho too for that price.

  3. Finished this last month. Great book and probably the best one I read in recent times. Some of the experiences Sadhguru shares are so amazing and its a must book for anyone who actually likes to explore their spiritual side. This is not at all a religious book like some may assume.

And about 90% into this one and probably the book I read the fastest (im a slow reader) and the reason for that is because of the fact that I like most of the elements Elon Musk has touched with his businesses and startups. Very inspiring and gives a good insight of all the tough decisions and almost bankrupt situations one single person had to overcome to become what he is today and also the way he is revolutionising the energy and space sectors to make the world a better place.

I miss Santi Cazorla... I don’t think us Arsenal fans appreciated him enough before this terrible situation that seems to have ended his footballing career. Boy could we do with him now!

Thats not right mate, every arsenal fan I met and spoke to misses him in the team. Even the guys on ArsenalFanTV likes him

Tomas Rosicky retires. My first thoughts being that he was a very capable player who was somewhat blighted with injuries as he got older.

Thoughts on his time for you at Arsenal?

When he was fit the, energy he used to bring to the midfield wass something special, sadly he is just another victim of Arsenal's curse and could never be fit for a good period of time.

They are sports jerseys. They aren't meant for everyday wear.

not saying they are for everyday wear and I dont mind if anyone wears it like that.....  but for example I play pickup football games and wear those tshirts I posted above but cant say I would wear a XXXXXL size looking NFL jersey if im playing a fun game with friends. They look so uncomfortable to wear

One thing American sports get right. 867240602-nashville-predators-v-chicago-blackhawks.jpg.jpg&

I dont like american sports jerseys... its almost like they cant have a regular looking tshirt to wear ... the NFL and NHL jerseys are so big, the NBA ones are tank tops... but other than that I get what you are saying and I agree with that

It’s not official mate and for a shirt collector that would mean assigning to bullshit. Anyhow... I don’t get pleasure from buying unofficial fake garbage.  This is a chance, a unique one of a genuine sports company that once did a kit for a football club actually going and repeating it in this day and age of hyper sensitive registration rights.  Tell me of any other high profile football club where you can do the same?  Maybe there is, but I haven’t heard of it and in this case MEYBA had to get Nike’s permission which was helped on by FC Barcelona themselves.

When you go into Central London where all the tourists hang out, you can buy all the fake football shirts you like. You don’t see many genuine football fans buying those, do you?

    I was only joking.

I dont like the sponsor name on shirts/jerseys and I dont own any jerseys. I have a couple of regular tshirts of Arsenal which has the club's crest and nothing else on it. Just like the ones below but without the white patch on the shoulders.

@SirBalon now that is a jersey. Timeless in design, no intrusive sponsors, and above all simple and iconic. It will never happen but it’d be nice to see the same thing for other clubs, Real’s clean white kit, Atletico’s mattress, Best’s United, the clean stripes of AC and Inter, and so forth.

I do remember that United jersey from about a decade ago but if I recall correctly it was very rugby-polo esque. Must have been the style of the 50s

You just check with any chinese or any other asian shops locally. They can provide you shirts however you like, with or without sponsor, your favourite colours, they can also print your face on the back of the shirt if you want. Custimsation for the win

  10. When I saw United's third goal where he was just ball watching instead of marking/pressuring Lingaard, its safe to say Xhaka is the worst player in the current arsenal team.

And whats up with Ozil, after United scored two I thought he would just do his normal thing by jogging for the rest of the 80 mins but he did put in a great display and effort, clearly trying to imcrease his stock value for January window?

Who cares mate!  All those that have defended him for all the years anyone with a working brain cell could see it was all going down hill should now be stuck with him until the man they see as the one that put Arsenal on the map sorts it all out!!!

HE HAS TO STAY!  ALL OF THOSE INVOLVED IN THIS HAVE TO STAY!

I understand your frustration and what you are trying to say. You are trying to say "all those that have defended him" were wrong all these years and need to take responsibility for defending him but thats not the solution moving forward isnt it?

If he stays do you see any progress (or sorting out) happening? because clearly I cant see that and I dont see how anyone would say wenger is still the right man for the job.

  12. 2 hours ago, SirBalon said:

    He’s hinted that before!

No way! He HAS to stay now and sort the shit he’s created out.

I doubt he is going to sort anything team wise, I seriously doubt his capability to attract top players now. Until few years ago he was hiding behind the new stadium construction excuse for not winning/challenging but thats done and still dont see any improvement. How do you think he will sort things out, if anything it only could get worse and ugly from here with Ozil and Sanchez leaving in a couple of months or staying for an astronomical salary (which I doubt will happen). The best striker he could attract in the recent times is Lacazette, the best central midfielders he could bring in are Elneny and Xhaka, isnt is obvious there is not much he can do now.
