Took some time this week+last to clear out the backlog got through a lot.. Finished NiOh 2 Finished Doom Eternal Played a funny game called Helltaker (literally 3hours) from Steam Played a game called Katana Zero which I think is quite good but its also a bit repetitive Finished Ori and the Will of the Wisps (tried to finish every zone before the final boss fight but it never happened) Now I am going to start playing Stela which is a slightly older game but I like the genre. I go back to SoR4 every now and then to try and complete it with as many characters as possible.

I put it in my list. Don't know when I'll play it. I like their mystery games.

The things people do. Good job too.

I like the discussion around this. Sometimes you'll play a game to challenge yourself and its not like there arent a myriad of other games to choose from. It's why some people don't touch Bloodborne or Souls or NiOh or Sekiro, the difficulty just overwhelms them or they rage quit. Having said all that Ghost of Tsushima is a day one purchase for me now.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Doom/comments/gnjlo7/latest_information_on_update_1_anticheat/ Even if you don't play PC games this is slowly becoming a massive problem across anything competitive or online-based. Companies, in their tryst with cheating, are justifying ways to run anti-cheat software along with the game during online sessions. Now, the reports always say this doesnt affect consoles but then I ask how long before even that statement becomes obsolete? It's not like you can't hack a console and its not like they can't cheat there as well. Shame really as I like Doom Eternal and before this May 14th patch I was seriously considering a second run with the difficulty all the way up as well. The good news is that Bethesda is removing Denuvo, the bad news is that a lot of folks who installed it with Denuvo on there won't really know if its gone or if it still around somewhere. Ring-0 is not for software that is not from the OS provider, PERIOD. And if something does require that level of access then the OS provider needs to be involved along with a security team chosen by the international community (this sounds like a joke but its not). The last thing you want is for some lazy security programmer pushed by the boss on a deadline to introduce a hole and then forget stealing data from your machine they can do far far worse.

While it may not be 100% true this is starting to do the rounds now with a test on rhesus monkeys confirming a first pass.

Short Story TikTok pissed off a famous Indian YouTuber. Followers lined up, rated app poorly. TikTok ratings drop. Mildly Long Story There's a famous YouTuber over here whose entire show runs around making fun of topics and being a dick while doing it (like literally a dick) and he made a video on TikTok. Well, YT and the folks at TikTok caught onto it and banned the video citing cyber-bullying. Then the guy turns from an angry punk into an overnight spreader of love and all things associated with it because his income from YT dried up faster than he could imagine. This of course spawned all his followers to go on a rampage rating TikTok as some shit platform which is rich considering the person they were following was producing similar content. This is not to say that YT has been unfavorable to folks doing content in India but what YT did was funny to ban the video and there's been a lot of problems with TikTok in general surrounding a case that recently came up involving some groups on WhatsApp/Instagram with teens claiming rape acts/threats towards women (ficitional threats of course). The timing of it all was just bad for the person who got banned but TikTok as a platform is more toxic than nuclear waste over here from the looks of things. Couple all that together with the second largest population on the planet and with enough rating drops TikTok goes down in their ratings. I wouldn't even bother reading up on it as its a shit-show where everyone is at fault. If you'd still like to get a general idea here you go. https://gadgets.ndtv.com/apps/news/tiktok-ratings-1-star-indian-users-ban-faizal-siddiqui-carryminati-2231440

https://www.wired.com/story/confessions-marcus-hutchins-hacker-who-saved-the-internet/ Fascinating read about the guy who stopped WannaCry and all the stuff he did before it too. I honestly think what the FBI did was right and he was lucky the judge saw things the way he did otherwise this could have ended very poorly for him.

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/law-firm-madonna-lady-gaga-bruce-springsteen-cyberattack-997863/ I always laugh when something like this happens and in this case its even more laughable because 700+ gigabytes of sensitive data was stolen. Then I start to ask how this happened and I remember that the tools you give a fool all depend on the fool's usage of such tools. How a law firm representing people with this data ever let this leak is beyond me but then again so is Man City's SNAFU with emails and the political merry-go-round with Hillary's emails. In the better interest of making things easier for people folks who work in security generally end up pulling their hair out because the one with the money decides what should be done not the "expert" until shit breaks loose and then its the "expert" whose neck is on the line.

https://arstechnica.com/cars/2020/05/musk-dares-county-officials-to-arrest-him-as-he-re-opens-fremont-factory/?comments=1 This started a little while ago and is now turning into an Elon vs Government battle. This little statement is even more hilarious. "Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules," Musk tweeted. "I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me." I don't know whats more hilarious, that this guy is supposedly smart or that he thinks that Tesla manufacturing is an essential service so he can break the rules whenever he feels like it. I hope they jail him and everyone at that plant to drive the point home when he does reopen and they deny him bail as well.

I found all the secret stages and unlocked as much as i can. I have also finished the game with everyone from the original five set and I am just pacing it now. I like Mania mode it really adds some fun to the beat-em-up.

Today, the government of Karnataka lifted the movement ban and started that people can move between the hours of 7am and 7pm without a pass of any kind but in off-hours you need a pass and need to be part of essential services. But, thats not the best part, the best part is that they have reopened liquor stores so thank you for that but the liquor store right outside my house has a line that puts a lot of concert waiting lines to shame and none of them, not a single one, are practicing social distancing and some aren't even wearing masks. Add to all of this the area we live in is considered a red-zone at the district level so we're going to see some kind of spike for a while.

He was made to only appear in certain places and never really chased you in the sense that Mr X did which was disappointing. I think it would have added to the horror factor if he showed up out of nowhere and just caused havoc but I think they did it due to wanting it to be different from RE2. Shame really as RE2 took the best thing about RE3 and left RE3 with nothing new.
