  1. I think hes an alright guy but he tends to lose his marbles sometimes. This is one of those times.
  2. Microsoft just had their games demo and honestly the only game in there that looked like something I'd be remotely interested in was the new Fable.
  3. Sometimes I'll go back watch these guys do covers because imo Martin Miller does some very good guitar work and their drummer on some of the more funkier covers is very good like the one below with Paul Gilbert.
  4. On a side note, I was glad Bobby got a goal at home yesterday. It took Trent serving it up for him on fine china to make it happen but I am glad it did.

Its a workout trying to do drumrolls on a beat machine don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Also, I imagined having the skill to play a guitar/bass would be useful when it came to working my hands independently but its terribly hard to keep the beat in both hands when you want to do more complex pieces. Obviously you can just layer stuff but trying to write a drum track is quite a task.
  6. That’s a fair assessment. The alien really does keep you on your toes when it starts but then it does get a bit slow as it moves on.
  7. Go with 4 and wait on LoU2 to get cheaper (which it will soon enough).
  8. Ubisoft are the modern day Atari filled with BS and behaving like children. On a side note, I don't have an issue with a dev-shop giving the players gender choices as so many RPGs/MMORPGs do these days but to say that a character wasn't going to sell simply because of their gender is a bit silly. Backed up with data is a different story and maybe that's what happened here away from the macho culture they are currently under but I doubt it had anything to do with data.
  9. Hard to believe its been so long since we've had fullbacks that were as good as what we have now. Baffles the mind because we've been blessed in most other areas of the pitch.
  10. Just started playing Ghost of Tsushima and wow what a game. If you have a PS4 and like a swordplay game this one is a good purchase. The sword mechanics aren't ultra-fast like most hack and slashes and the game offers a nice level of ramping with difficulty too. Sucker Punch Studios outdid themselves here.
  11. https://kotaku.com/konamis-pes-is-just-gonna-take-the-year-off-1844397110 Konami are taking the year off and not doing a PES release this year which I think is okay and instead they are putting it up as a DLC for 2020.
  12. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/07/ubisofts-most-powerful-creative-force-resigns-in-wake-of-sweeping-allegations/ Shit went down and is probably still going down.

That was one I looked at when I was looking around for a drum machine. The reason I finally went with Maschine is the number of sample plugins I could get installed with it and the fact that I already own an AKAI Midi Keyboard for piano which is great for the price but it is going to give way soon. That interface is so intuitive (the Korg) for when you want to see beats in a line. I have learned two sets of drums now - Jazz and Rock. The next step is to try and write the drum piece after the bass piece then I'll start composing stuff. The one I really wanted was this. https://www.roland.com/us/products/tr-08/ but we dont get it here and we get some weird variant that I was truly not interested in. Plus I didnt pay for it so I figure be happy with what you got haha.

@Dr. Gonzo Don't know if you've ever seen this guy but hes a huge Petrucci fan and does some very interesting guitar work.
  16. Wouldn't expect those kind of gang names anywhere else but Goa. Our locality has a guy who rides around on an Enfield and his name is Don Boom. We used to think that was a nickname till we learned that its his actual middle name.
  17. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2020/07/the-rise-and-fall-of-adobe-flash/ In December this year we will see Adobe pull the plug on Flash. This is a nice short read about how it shaped so much of the web we know today. If you read the comments and why Apple finally decided to ditch Flash it also teaches you a valuable lesson "When a partner calls you to discuss a technical issue pick up the phone". To think about what might have happened had Adobe actually answered those calls from Apple, ridiculous.
