  1. The sad thing is that Bayern are complete shambles this season and yet no other club in the league is able to take advantage of it...
  2. Live broadcast of the Beresheet lunar landing will start in about 4 hours (9:45pm Israel time). Landing process will start at 10:05pm. Landing expected to happen at 10:25pm.
  3. His job apparently is to parrot anything that Hoeneß or Rummenigge says during awkward press conferences
  4. Nah he's not - he was apparently employed as some sort of staff but nobody knows exactly what he was doing apparently From NZZ: "Der frühere französische Nationalspieler hatte beim FCZ erst am 1.
  5. Now that's awkward That said, I didn't even know he was employed by Zürich. Although considering that it lasted for just a bit over one month, that's probably not surprising either
  6. The reboot of The Twilight Zone is now out! Haven't seen any of the episodes yet though.
  7. Interesting size comparison of the M87 black hole and the solar system by XKCD. Gives a better impression of how massive it is
  8. This is looking much better than I expected it to!
  9. The orange-ish ring we can see in the image is actually the light bent by the intense gravity around the black hole and circling it at tremendous speed. The black center is the shadow of the event horizon. We obviously can't see the actual black hole because it is - well - completely black as the gravity is so strong not even light can escape it. For more mind-fuck: This is how it looked like 53.5 million years ago.
  10. The final result is extremely similar to the images generated by theoretical physicists' supercomputer simulations, indicating that our theories (in this case our understanding of the physics of a black hole) are correct. Makes you really admire Einstein's mind for being so far ahead of its time to be able to come up with theories that are being proven with a photograph taken a century later... They closed the European press conference by quoting Stephen Hawking... It's a pity he didn't live long enough to witness this today
  11. WE HAVE THE FIRST EVER REAL IMAGE OF A BLACK HOLE!!!!!
  12. Six simultaneous press conferences around the world will broadcast the first "groundbreaking" results from the Event Horizon Telescope in less than one hour - a project that was designed to take the first ever image of a black hole. Broadcast starts at 15:00 CEST! European press conference: Japanese press conference: US press conference: https://www.youtube.com/c/VideosatNSF/live Taiwanese press conference: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPk594oZYMU4Eak7By5wHyQ
  13. Absolutely. We need him and he needs us as I'm pretty sure he won't find such an easy-going, calm environment to play his football and be given all his freedoms on and off the pitch while also being the captain and the key figure in the team. Regardless of Kruse's future though, I'm very happy that we managed to bind our best talents on long term contracts. With the Eggestein brothers, Sargent, Rashica and a few youngsters expected to come through our youth ranks in the next few years + Kohfeldt in charge our future looks quite bright. What a nice change.
  14. Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Brilliant news.
  15. Also Chris Avellone worked with KOTOR 2 and has been working on this together with Respawn as well... Gives me hope.
  16. Looking forward to tomorrow. The Event Horizon Telescope team is expected to reveal the first image of a black hole; and the second flight of the Falcon Heavy is scheduled for the evening. Then on Thursday the Israeli Beresheet is expected to land on the Moon. Quite a week we're having!
  17. ahahaha how come I've never seen this before
  18. Mika's and Schumi's rivalry and battles both in junior series and in F1 were definitely my favourite. They always fought hard but also had immense respect for each other. Also:
  19. I have a love-hate relationship with NDW. Some of the songs are great but some are proper shite haha. But it has that unmistakable 80s flair for sure...
  20. Respawn's Jedi-themed Star Wars game is being revealed later this week The tagline for Jedi: Fallen Order says the game "tells an original Star Wars story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith." It's a dark time for the Jedi, and they're being hunted down following the Empire's grim Order 66 policy. Chris Avellone, who worked on KOTOR 2 among many other PC classics, confirmed back in early March that he worked on Jedi Fallen Order with Respawn. Unusually for Respawn, creators of the excellent Titanfall games and Apex Legends, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is singleplayer-only, which the official Star Wars site confirmed shortly after announcement. That was surprising news, given that the studio's first Titanfall game was multiplayer-only—the sequel, of course, added an excellent (if extremely brief) solo campaign. And yes, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order feature lightsaber duels. It'll be interesting to see how Respawn interprets them, given its experience of punchy, physical action in Titanfall. This is almost certainly going to be a third-person action game. Stig Asmussen, previously of the God of War series on PlayStation, announced in 2016 that he was working on Respawn's Star Wars project, and called it third-person in his blog. https://www.pcgamer.com/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-release-date/
