  1. https://www.axios.com/cdc-omicron-death-delta-variant-covid-959f1e3a-b09c-4d31-820c-90071f8e7a4f.html Fantastic news, and another confirmation for initial data from South Africa. 53% reduction in risk of hospitalisation, 70% reduction in length of hospitalisation, 74% reduction in risk for ICU, and 91% reduction in risk of death. Large study sample with varied demographics, too. Over 52000 Omicron patients in the study, and none needed mechanical ventilation!
  2. The Doctor joins Audi WRT team in GT World Challenge Europe for a full season!
  3. I'd just open a Wise account, if I were you. You can open a Euro account and get an IBAN account number for transactions in Europe.
  4. US banks do not use IBAN standard, so he won't have one.
  5. I got 8. Got the sprint races and Kimi's wins ones wrong.
  6. He uses this thing: https://thepooter.com/ He shows it literally in the first 30 seconds of the video...

    Making Music

Yeah, I'm also no expert on music, but I like the sound of it, @Dr. Gonzo! Reminds me of Metallica, in some way. Just please don't ever use scream vocals

What kind of "devastating effects" could it potentially have on a world level?

They canceled the visa of a Czech tennis player who had been in the country for weeks already and even played a match in a practice tournament, and detained her unlike Djokovic, she doesn't have the resources to fight the Australian government though, so just agreed to leave.
  10. Nice. Looks like a still image taken straight out of some Roland Emmerich disaster movie
  11. Also, an interesting thing from recent Omicron research: two studies (one from University of Edinburgh, the other from the State Serum Institute in Denmark) observed significantly negative vaccine effectiveness against infection (-70%) and symptomatic disease (-22%) in individuals who received two jabs more than 25 weeks ago (so, last jab 6+ months ago and no booster since then). Obviously needs more research as those were observational studies, but it's intriguing because that was not the case with Delta, not in a single study.
  12. Brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, and cauliflower are all derived from the same plant through hundreds of years of selective breeding.
  13. The deployment was successful!
  14. Read it yesterday, will believe it when it's official would be massive though. Audi seem to be really interested in taking over McLaren... Red Bull Porsche has a nice ring to it
  15. Must be running out of kids to molest.

I don't have much sympathy for him either, but think it shows terrible incompetence when one institution of a country doesn't appear to know what the other institution is doing, when information is contradictory and when rules are applied arbitrarily.

Nope, he was given the exemption after two independent medical expert panels in Australia approved his request (anonymously, too). One of those was the Independent Medical Exemption Review Panel appointed by the Victorian Department of Health.

Somehow, they are making an even bigger mess of things First grant him the exemption, and then revoke it once there's too much public outrage, and detain him upon arrival for hours? What a shitshow.
  19. Will probably just get a hefty fine, but has ruined his career and his image for something stupid like that.
  20. In case you're still interested - he just signed a professional contract with us and moved to BVB on loan until the end of 2022/2023 season, with an option to buy. Will play for BVB II in the 3. Liga.

"All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others". I couldn't care less about his vaccination status, but it's a slap in the face for all those who weren't allowed in or out of the country to see their partners, parents and families in the past two years. But it's not exactly surprising, is it? If you have enough money and status, there are always ways to circumvent the rules.
