  1. Started watching V a while ago as I haven't watched it before when it originally aired. Halfway through Season 1, it's really good...
  2. Both of those are clearly wrong. All newly discovered lands back then were obviously named Indies in honour of Indiana Jones
  3. It actually looks good...
  4. Renault and reliability issues, name a more iconic duo
  5. Nice! Bet you enjoyed the Qatar GP, then
  6. Whoa, what kind of magic is this???
  7. Yep, they use a four-level system, with Level 1 having no restrictions, and Level 4 having the most. The situation is evaluated on regular intervals, so things are changing constantly. Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, and La Gomera are currently at Level 4; and Fuerteventura, El Hierro, and Lanzarote at Level 3. But frankly, their restrictions are very mild and have barely any impact on enjoying your time there... Arrival controls are very smooth, as well. I wanted to visit Fuerteventura mostly for its Mars-like landscapes

    Looks fantastic!
  9. No, unfortunately. I had hotels and a car booked in Fuerteventura originally, but at the time I arrived to Tenerife, it got moved to level 4 and only essential travel was allowed between islands. It was possible later after a few months, but with situation changing unpredictably, I didn't want to get stuck there and miss my next flight.
  10. Can highly recommend Teide volcano and national park in Tenerife. There's also an impressive observatory there; it was sadly closed due to covid situation when I was there so I missed out on it But still, the views are majestic. I also booked a paragliding flight from Mount Teide, and would highly recommend it, too

Dutch pronunciation can be quite challenging, especially the choking "g" sound and several diphthongs ("ui" is particularly hard to master, imo). Otherwise, I agree. I've heard it's one of the easier languages to learn (for English native speakers), so you've got a point there regarding composition and root words!

Understandable. For me, it's tonal languages that are the most challenging. I can hear and recognize the differences in tones and can also mimic them if I'm speaking slowly, but once I have to say a complete sentence at normal speed, the tones mostly disappear

Which other languages have you looked at? Personally, Spanish was by far the easiest language to learn for me. Even after having no practice for over a decade, I managed to have both formal and informal conversations the last time I went there last year, which was quite a surprise to me
  14. That's why I always have an empty cardboard box in the car and use it instead of trolleys or hand baskets. Buy less shit I don't need and also avoid plastic bags which I fucking hate. Single nights at a supermarket was by far the oddest thing in the article...
  15. Haha, no CD drive in my laptop either, I'm afraid... You'd have to wait until I settle down in one place and get a desktop PC
  16. Just Google it, it's not rocket science
  17. Buy an empty CD-R, download Tekken 3 ROM and burn it onto the CD.
  18. I have no idea why you quoted me, but that actually looks like an interesting series... Have you watched it?
  19. Yes I know, but Jedi: Fallen Order didn't have any loot boxes nor microtransactions or "live service" passes, and Squadrons followed the same path. In fact, ther was absolutely no post-purchase monetisation whatsoever in both games, so that gives me hope!
  20. Yeah, Jedi: Fallen Order was class though, and Squadrons wasn't bad, either (if you don't count me being shit at it)
  21. Three new Star Wars Games in the works... That's not counting The Eclipse which will come out this year.
  22. Wtf. It's properly confusing. Duels? What is this, fencing?...
  23. Orbital insertion burn is complete! JWST has successfully arrived
  24. So they are basically saying that a man on foot is faster than Formula E cars? Really great marketing In all seriousness, the video looks great, but I'm honestly not sure if showing a massive crash from last season and then drivers outrunning their cars is a great way to advertise the series...
