  1. Genuine question - how do you know who the leading experts are and what defines majority for you?
  2. Well, there's being introverted, and then there's being socially anxious... Removing human contact from daily situations is mad, and governments striving to do it are fucking psychotic.
  3. Well it's probably because that link is over a year old... As I said, my point was to show that there are different opinions on the matter. In the end, when you say you're listening to the experts, you're making a choice of which experts you listen to. It's always worth hearing the other side of the argument, regardless what the topic is.

I actually tasted a fried spider once. Very crispy.

When you said cat-flavoured, I just assumed it tastes like cat
  7. Wasn't the 500.000 deaths figure a forecast based on a modelling by Neil Ferguson's group? If yes, I believe he himself has admitted that his predictions were off. Anyway, my point was that there have always been differing opinions on this even among scientists and "experts"; I don't think there's a strong consensus.
  8. Regarding experts: you might be interested in reading The Great Barrington Declaration. Regardless if one agrees with them and their suggestions or not, it's still a considerably large group of experts who have been opposing strict lockdown measures since 2020. Created by three epidemiology professors at Oxford, Harvard and Stanford, and signed by 15,091 medical & public health scientists and 44,541 medical practitioners around the world.

    Cooking

Taste-wise, I don't feel much difference. In general, I prefer shrimp for most dishes, and tiger prawns for BBQ due to their size.
  10. From what I read, many of them were kids, too. Apparently 7 were from the same family. It's just pure evil, and I will never understand how anyone could be capable of something like that. Absolute scum.
  11. I saw the description but didn't watch the video. Can't even fathom such indescribable acts of cruelty. It's absolutely heart-breaking and infuriating.
  12. Once the current season is over, I can finally go back to watching the old seasons. Up next: 1981.
  13. Yeah, a failed state. Economic collapse, power struggles, military coup and attempt to hold onto power, numerous ethnic conflicts and infighting, killing civilians, now also imprisonment of democratically elected government; there's just no end of it in sight. I wouldn't be surprised if a full-scale civil war breaks out there in the near future.
  14. Ameca humanoid robots are out of this world. Just look at those facial expressions and mimicking of human body language. Incredible.
  15. Yeah, he's a proper racing fanatic F1 and IndyCar with Mclaren; WEC, European Le Mans, Le Mans Cup, numerous GT4, GT3 and other sportscar races as well as Extreme E with United Autosports. Probably even more I'm not aware about.
  16. Unrelated to Bratwurst, but the car that won the race is part of the team that belongs (in part) to Zak Brown Also, there was a safety car because an echidna was strolling on the track
  17. Death toll rises as 14 casualties confirmed now.
  18. Bathurst 1000 at Mount Panorama tonight, I love love love this circuit and this race. Probably my 3rd favourite after Nürburgring and Spa. Will be cheering for this absolute beauty tonight:
  19. So far 1 dead, 41 injured with burn wounds, and 3 reported missing. Evacuation ongoing, it's complicated due to thick ash.
