  1. Baumann said to expect 15-20 more transfers to happen before the transfer window closes most of them will be players leaving; the majority probably being players from reserve/youth team, but quite a few first team players are still expected to be sold. Augustinsson, M. Eggestein, Veljkovic, Friedl, Osako, Sargent, Jojo Eggestein, Toprak are all hot transfer candidates. The squad will likely look very different in 2 months time, and I'm afraid that it will bring a lot of uncertainty. That's not a good situation to be in, going into a new season, and not being sure who stays and who leaves. But hopefully we'll be off for a good start with all these players, at least...
  2. Toprak is the new captain, Maxi Eggestein and Leo Bittencourt have been named vice-captains. Those three + Groß and Füllkrug will be the team council.
  3. Bittencourt is out for a few weeks with a knee injury, so we're now desperately looking for wingers. First match is in less than 5 days, our new system is heavily reliant on strong wingers, and we barely have any left
  4. There's a sort of friendship developing between the two countries, it seems. Taiwan donated 100.000 masks to us last year, we reciprocated with the vaccines now, and then hundreds of Taiwanese made small financial donations to some non-profits in Lithuania as a gesture of thanks.
  5. The sleeves are awful. Would have been nice if the colours matched. I prefer the away one, love minimalist clean kits.

I mean, it IS not a big deal. It's literally just some dude pouring a few drops of water on their heads. I'm a bit perplexed that getting baptized means better chances for them to get into a specific private school. How come? A Christian school, I take it?
  7. I haven't read A Brief History of Seven Killings, in fact, I haven't even heard of its existence Bob Marley had a huge influence on me growing up, so I'd love to check it out!
  8. Remarque I love Remarque. Have read all his books I could get my hands on when I was a teen, and could relate to every single one of them. A very unique feeling. It's good to know there's someone else out there who appreciates him as much as I do!
  9. I found the English Patient movie also extremely boring, so didn't even bother with the book You're loving The Great Gatsby? I think F. Scott Fitzgerald is just not for me... I love the setting, but found the novel very meh.
  10. We're selling Augustinsson. Just for you, a special offer for Bayern - only 30 million Euro!
  11. My personal top list of Hesse's books would be: 1. Steppenwolf 2. Demian 3. Siddhartha 4. Journey to the East 5. Das Glasperlenspiel 6. Narcissus and Goldmund 7. Knulp 8. Peter Camenzind 9. Klingsor's Last Summer 10. Rosshalde Although to be honest, I read them all a long time ago, and if I re read it again, the order would probably change. Some of Hesse's books definitely have a certain critical age bracket when you should read it to enjoy it the most, in my opinion...

    History

Thought this was cool... The oldest existing piece of literature.
  13. We can have a 2. Bundesliga Comunio, if there's interest
  14. Are those ratings for the F1 game or just random?
  15. He changed a lot while at Bremen Before: Now:
  16. Kyu-hyun Park is officially my most favourite Werder player as of today. A complete madman From drinking 14 raw eggs a day, to a crazy hairstyle, to performing Gangnam Style as his introduction to the team - just brilliant too bad the original video has been made private, but here's a short clip:
  17. RIP I knew he was in a hospital for quite a while, but then got better and was released, so I hoped he'd make it, but then read the post by his daughter announcing his passing away today.
