  1. If you’re offside, you’re offside. Regardless of by how much. You simply can’t have tolerance on some offences but not others because there’s been a nice goal scored at the end of it. It makes a mockery of the game, the laws and VAR.
  2. Weird how people get so offended and upset by the laws of the game being implemented when it comes to a player being offside by a matter of mm’s but are happy for goals to be given by a matter of mm’s.
  3. Didn’t expect that. I had visions of him going to PSG.
  4. Just finished this Had it bought for me by my brother in law. He recommended it. At first, I just thought it was a pair of blokes jolly in Micronesia but as it progresses there’s a shift and you get a feeling that they actually cared about the people and the island. Decent read.
  5. Walsall (v Southend)/Cove Rangers (v Forfar) double.
  6. It’s also worth remembering that the January window is still happening, so Liverpool have to go for, all of, six weeks or so without Gomez and VVD, when I think they’ll being someone in.
  7. sOuThGaTe LoVeS mOuNt. Twitter mouth breathing LADBible minces like that Footy Accumulators need to get in the sea.
  8. When you’re trying to cram in Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League and Nations League games into a shorter period than normal after a two week “break”, is it any surprise we’re seeing injuries? This season will be a shitshow and so will the Euros.
  9. It would appear the far-right dickheads are the media, for the most part.
  10. I see Mason Greenwood is the new target for the media. “Poor application in training” the story.
  11. Had Forest (vs Wycombe) at 4/6 yesterday. That’s now ten bets I’ve had this season and I’ve won 8.
  12. Even so, Callum Wilson? They could genuinely pick a bloke whose playing for Cheltenham Town though because they’re not going to play but you might as well pick someone whose in form.
  13. Probably because there’s a massive lack of decent English midfielders out there. I’d bin Henderson, he doesn’t play for United, I’d have rewarded Darlow or McCarthy, they actually play games. Genuinely had to Google what Tammy Abraham was up to, as I can’t say I’ve even noticed him this season. I’d have gone with Ings there.
  14. Always said I’d do this and it’s taken till now to actually do it but I’m actually tracking my bets this season. I’ve also been really strict on myself as well and have a bit of a criteria to my betting: 1. Don’t bet if there’s nothing I like the look of. 2. The ‘biggest’ bet I will do is a double. 3. If there is only one game that I like the look of, bet on it as a single only. Granted, I’m not going to scoop hundreds, let alone thousands, that you see betting site’s social media accounts tweeting as a plea to mug punters, I’m going for the “little and often” approach. I’m 6/8 (75%) on my betting and the losses are only because I kind of broke my own rules and backed two games as singles and as a double and only one of the singles come in. That said, I’m not bothering with anything this evening.
  15. Isn’t the conviction nullified till the appeal is heard anyway? But yeah, they should have been punished for breaking rules, just as Maguire was dropped once the conviction initially happened.
  16. New Zealand have refused to travel for next months friendly. England are looking for replacement opponents.
  17. Essex Council are trying to force the county into the high category despite dropping cases. Cynics suggest it’s because of the financial relief they’ll get.
  18. Shame it’s come to this but cases are rising again and we really don’t want a spike in deaths again. Feel for the North West, who have been in some kind of lockdown for sometime now and they’ll be hit pretty hard again.
  19. Hertford Town 1-0 Harlow Town - Isthmian Division One South Central Have you watched the Only Fools and Horses where they go on a “Jolly Boys Outing” to Margate? Of course you have. Unbridled joy and entertainment for the hour and a bit that it’s on your screen. It almost makes you want to go on a Jolly Boys Outing to a crap seaside town in the UK, doesn’t it? Alan Parry going on it, much to the disdain of his wife, Denzil’s “disease”, Trigger making all the sandwiches despite Sid having a cafe, Uncle Albert inadvertently smashing Sid’s escape boat from a Greek Island during the War, Mike meeting his old mate, “Ruud Gullit, nowhere” and then Rodney twatting a ball off a copper’s head and then...the bus exploding. Comedy gold. And that’s before they’ve even got to Margate. Then the scenes on the rollercoasters and other rides at the seaside. A load of blokes enjoying themselves like they’re children. It’s something we all do. Then Del, Albert and Rodney having to stay at the Villa Bella and Del’s attempts to get Rodney out for a few drinks, it works and they end up watching Raymond-o the Magician and Raquel before getting locked out of their hotel and having to go to Raquel’s. It’s a televisual masterpiece. If you’ve made it this far and are wondering why I’m talking about Only Fools and Horses instead of Hertford Town v Harlow Town, it’s because I went to the game yesterday and I thought I’d talk about something more interesting than the game of Football I paid to watch. Now, I didn’t expect the standard of the eighth tier of football to be particularly high but this was two very poor teams with very little attacking threat between them. The fact the game was settled by a goal from the penalty spot sums that up, I think. Barring a shot that hit the crossbar from Hertford, the only other two bits of goalmouth action were a disallowed goal for Harlow, which was well offside and the home team keeper coming out to collect a high ball and wiping out Harlow’s utterly woeful striker and his centre back, who he put to sleep. Nice little ground though, surrounded by trees and you can see a train viaduct so it was, at times, more fun watching a train pass than the football on offer.
  20. Got no problem with the Nations League games, theres probably obligations that need to be met but the two friendlies are bizarre enough but more son when there’s not extra allowances allowed in terms of allowing larger squads to be called up. If the Wales and New Zealand games must go ahead, I think they hoped they’d be test events and get some people in, I can’t see why they weren’t allowed to call up 35 players or something along those lines.
  21. How has it escaped me that Ady Boothroyd is still managing the 21’s? I genuinely would have him down as a League Two/National league manager at very best and I think, even then, I’m being kind to him.
  22. Poor, that. I usually back Southgate and he normally gets stuff right but I think they should be dropped. Granted, they’ve not done it in camp like Foden and Greenwood but still.
