  1. That's the Reacher series watched (8 episodes) and I can gladly say Ritchson IS REACHER, when I read any more of Child books on Reacher I will visualise Ritchson as the latter and the end bit was exactly like in the book, brutal and Reacher avenged his brother Joe's death, roll on the next series.
  2. I pissed myself laughing at this bit and so did our son when he was watching it in his room lying in bed.
  3. Bloody hell, I am hooked on this series of Reacher now played by Alan Ritchson and he fits the character brilliantly, just finished episode 4 and I will finish the rest tomorrow, a lot of good humour in it and a few laughs too, @nudge and @Waylander watch it, I reckon you will like it, Tom Cruise can take a running fucking jump. Can't say it's the same as the book but all films are like that, still enjoy the episodes, our son watched the whole series in one hit and enjoyed them.

Our daughter just sent me this photo via text message, look at the size of the guy Connor beat (Connor on the left) I can remember Connor when he was 10 years old and we met our daughter in the local Cafe, Connor asked me what was a Glasgow kiss, I told him and he said "like this granddad..." ouch
  5. That first series is based on the first book of Reacher by Child, I would imagine the book being better which I have read a few times but anything is better than watching Cruise as Reacher.
  6. Aye, my son just told me too and I am going to watch it tonight once our grandson hits the pillow as he is here for the night, that guy shits all over Cruise as Reacher, the actor Alan Ritchson is 6ft 2inc AND built like a brick shithouse.

Proud moment for me and the wife today, our eldest grandson, Connor has been picked to fight in the Scottish Novice Championships at Ravenscraig Sports Centre, Motherwell this afternoon and we will be watching him, I hope he and the other lads selected do well. From a young nipper to a grown bruiser.
  8. The last time I went on one of these slides was in Australia in the '60s .
  9. Old time dustbin days, the good old tin ones with a lid, the dustman using his shoulder to empty them.
  10. Won £10 on a scratch card so I bunged it in here to keep the donation clock ticking along.
  11. 13:25:27 - January 29, 2022 MEET WEBB'S 1ST TARGET STAR: HD 84406 Scientists with NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have picked the first star they will aim at with the new observatory and it's in a very familiar place. The star, called HD 84406, is located in the constellation Ursa Major, the Big Bear, which is home to a star pattern you may know better as the Big Dipper. Webb scientists will use the star to focus each of the 18 mirror segments of Webb's primary mirror. HD 84406 is a sun-light star about 260 light-years from Earth, and may need binoculars to see clearly. Here's our full story on HD 84406, the first target of the James Webb Space Telecope. Also this week, Bill Ochs, NASA's Webb telescope project manager, thanked the mission team for its amazing work and dedication to get the observatory to its L2 observing spot. Ochs quoted Jimmy Buffett as he hailed the team, changing some key lyrics. Check it out! https://www.space.com/news/live/james-webb-space-telescope-updates
