  1. Doesn't seem fair for me to claim the double knowing it'll get me money, so I'll go with the cash out of Tranmere.
  2. Nyck de Vries comes across really shit in Drive to Survive...
  3. Didn't realise I'd forgotten again! Dangerous for me as I don't want to tempt fate but didn't want to bet on Grimsby so I'm betting on the two teams around us to lose.
  4. Saturday 2nd March, 2024 Western Sydney 1-1 Sydney FC, 08.45 Huddersfield 0-3 Leeds, 12.30 Dundee 0-1 Kilmarnock Getafe 1-0 Las Palmas, 17.30 Inter Miami 1-1 Orlando City, 21.30 Sunday 3rd March, 2024 Verona 1-1 Sassuolo, 11.30 Arsenal Women 2-0 Tottenham Women, 12.30 PSV 1-0 Feyenoord, 13.30 Besiktas 1-1 Galatasaray, 16.00 Porto 0-1 Benfica, 20.30
  5. One of the biggest games of our season. Forest Green are below us so we NEED to beat them, and then beat Sutton the following weekend to have any chance of avoiding relegation. I'm hoping we can build on a good result at Morecambe last weekend to build up some momentum to get us the vital points needed.
  6. I'm a big fan of the playoffs but I think bias comes into play with that for me as Grimsby have a fairly decent record with play offs. We've been in countless finals and only won 2 of them in the time I've supported the club but those two occasions and the games leading up to them have been some of the best times I've witnessed as a Grimsby fan. It's the luck of the draw and I think teams and players tend to show their true characters in those games. It's commonly said that being promoted via playoffs is better than automatic solely for the occasion of going to a big stadium (if you're a lower league team) and winning it in front of tens of thousands of fans.
  7. Late to this one as been away. Girona play tonight so I'll have them.
  8. Saturday 17th February, 2024 Melbourne City 1-1 Melbourne Victory, 08.45 Arsenal Women 2-0 Man Utd Women, 12.30 Aberdeen 1-0 Hibernian Bristol City 1-0 QPR Valencia 1-1 Sevilla, 20.00 Porto 2-0 Estrela, 20.30 Sunday 18th February, 2024 Cercle Brugge 1-1 Club Brugge, 12.30 Elversberg 0-1 Osnabruck, 12.30 Empoli 1-2 Fiorentina, 14.00 Montpellier 1-3 Metz, 14.00
  9. And I forgot again to put mine in.
  10. My inconsistency with getting my predictions in is admirable.

    Tap Water

Always drink from the tap but I lived in Leeds where the water quality is excellent so.
  12. Saturday 10th February, 2024 Leeds 3-1 Rotherham Partick Thistle 1-1 Livingston Galatasaray 1-0 Istanbul Basaksehir, 16.00 Real Madrid 2-0 Girona, 17.30 Sunday 11th February, 2024 Western Sydney 1-1 Newcastle Jets, 06.00 Arsenal Women 2-1 Man City Women, 12.30 Sporting Lisbon 1-0 Sporting Braga, 18.00 Feyenoord 1-1 Sparta Rotterdam, 19.00 AC Milan 1-0 Napoli. 19.45 Nigeria/South Africa 1-2 Ivory Coast/DR Congo, 20.00
  13. Former Sunderland defender Denver Hume set to sign for Grimsby in the coming minutes from Portsmouth. Not sure if it's a permanent or a loan one but from the Sunderland games I've seen where he's played, he will be a good addition for us in League Two.
  14. Curtis Thompson the first one in the door on Deadline Day for us. Signs on a free from Cheltenham and comes with some excellent comments from former teams' fans
  15. It's been an odd week for us so not sure how this game is going to go. Reports that there are issues with players etc, plus not really any action in the transfer window to improve us as a team. Obviously, that will likely change over the course of today (or I hope so!). We've not looked like a team who knows how to play football lately and with all of Artell's promises that he's going to get us playing good football and it not really showing any signs of improvement, the fans are already on his back.
  16. Hope you're feeling better John!
  17. Hoping for some incoming transfers for Grimsby today. We've let Michee Efete go at right back, and youngster Evan Khouri has been shipped out on loan which leaves us very short of cover after the 3 other outgoings we've had this month.
  18. Progress is being made... We are now up to date with 7 players, and here are their movements. As soon as the FULL results are ready for all players, I'll get it posted. -------- @RandoEFC Arsenal U21 > Reading > Eastleigh > Aldershot > Eastleigh > Dagenham & Redbridge > Barnet > Oldham > Woking @Stan Southampton @CaaC (John) Fulham > Manchester United > FC Copenhagen > Viborg > Midtjylland @londonerlilie Dortmund > Bayern > Frankfurt > Aberdeen > Rangers > Celtic @Pyfish Pau FC > Nantes > Clermont > Strasbourg @Lucas & @Bluewolf Barnsley > Derby > Crewe > Grimsby > Harrogate > Tranmere > Barrow > Crewe > Salford ----- As you can see, plenty of movements which is why it's taking forever to get it all up to date. And the longer I take, the more fixtures that need adding
