Former Sunderland defender Denver Hume set to sign for Grimsby in the coming minutes from Portsmouth. Not sure if it's a permanent or a loan one but from the Sunderland games I've seen where he's played, he will be a good addition for us in League Two.

Hoping for some incoming transfers for Grimsby today. We've let Michee Efete go at right back, and youngster Evan Khouri has been shipped out on loan which leaves us very short of cover after the 3 other outgoings we've had this month.

Progress is being made... We are now up to date with 7 players, and here are their movements. I know! John lost out on a lot of games because he ended up in Denmark and they actually have a winter break. His next game isn't until 2nd Feb and even then it's the Atlantic Cup which I'd never heard of before but it's a mid season tournament for teams who don't play in Winter.

I've still got a lot of results to input for other players so this will likely change but this is the difference between @Stan and @CaaC (John) - who were the top 2 at the last results - after I've updated all of their results...

Seeing a lot about Palworld - anyone played it yet? It's free on Game Pass but apparently it's a few versions behind the Steam release due to Microsoft's approval process being drawn out.

My picks for this week - Cunha to score v Brighton anytime, and Leicester to beat Ipswich. A £75.60 return would be amazing.

I've had it a couple of times in my current save but I think it's a bugged save because every single game it's stupidly high scoring so it's easier for players to grab 10.0 rating if they're banging in hattricks.

Pretty happy with mine. Biggest risk was Cole Palmer scoring and he grabbed the only goal of the game luckily!

Newcastle aren't in the best of forms but I think they'll manage a goal against City, who you'd be surprised if they didn't score. Cole Palmer has had a good season with Chelsea and backing him to grab a goal here.

If I don't get this updated, we'll stop it at the last results and start a new 'half-season' version but I'll try and get it fully updated soon.

Going simple again this week

Just on the last episode of 'Fool Me Once' on Netflix. Heard mixed reviews before I watched it for myself from people saying it's just the same recycled British actors you see in other dramas and a few actors used in other Harlan Coben adaptions but I don't mind that. I've really enjoyed it and can't wait to watch this last episode and see how it wraps up. Michelle Keegan's in it too so that's a plus!

I made a balls up by putting Hearts v Livingston because that match is today (due to their stupid extra bank holiday day). If it doesn't count, so be it obviously, Hearts have got to win first anyway.
