We know a lot of people in the Bharat Army so they get a lot of tickets too. But my bro and my dad got tickets in the ballot for the WC as well - India vs West Indies; Bangladesh vs India. So there's always options! Quote

Good atmosphere sitting with Bharat Army (equivalent of Barmy Army for England). Good game of cricket too although expected England to get several more runs. India won with ease in the end. Rohit Sharma is different level sometimes. Love watching him bad. Yadav getting 6-25 is ridiculous too. Met Yadav, Chahal and Shreyas Iyer after the game in a restaurant as well. Ended up going to casino with them. They're whipping out £50 notes and I'm sitting there with my fivers Good fun though, they spent time with us which not many players would do. Do you support England or India? Quote

Azeem Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 I'm expecting an open tournament. England India are favorites but neither are perfect. I highly suspect England to fuck up. Quote
The Liquidator Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 It would be wonderful if England won through to be champions. One just wonders if we have peaked too soon? Quote

Azeem Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Some very woeful shots by Indian batsmen that cost them wickets. Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 Skipped work today. So far it's turned out to be a wonderful decision. This has been a fantastic day of Test cricket so far. Kohli, though lucky, has shown why he is just a touch above others. He has worked hard for that. Fairly impressed by Curran. Reminds me of Boult. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted August 2, 2018 Administrator Posted August 2, 2018 Kohli. What a player. Huge ton given the way the game was playing out in this innings. Curran skittling through the batsmen opposite him and he's the one that persevered and battled with he and Anderson and has come out on top so far. Been a great test match. Not boring at all. And it's only been 2 days. Quote
IgnisExcubitor Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 The last two wickets helped to add 90 odd runs. Also, Virat scored 130 or so runs in the 10 innings in 2014 series and today he scored 149. One of the finest innings I have seen against a good bowling attack, especially Anderson who was amazing but unlucky. This could be like that 144 which Ganguly scored in the first trst match against Aus in Aus, while the rest of the team failed. That century charged the rest of the team and that series was nearly won. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted August 3, 2018 Administrator Posted August 3, 2018 India have to chase the highest total they've ever had to in England to win this now. 194 is the target. Sam Curran saved England so far considering they were 87-7 when he came on to the pitch. England have a star player on their hands if he continues like this. Quote
Azeem Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 This match just got more interesting Kohli out ! Still think India would do it Quote
Azeem Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Never review when Aleem Dar is on the other end Quote

Azeem Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 (edited) If Kohli had stayed till the end and pulled it off it would have one of best test chase in recent times. Edited August 4, 2018 by Devon Von Devon Quote

Azeem Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Thought India's tail end was strong enough to hold long enough for Pandya to do something. Quote

Azeem Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 Great test match ! The one we will remember for a long time. Kohli and Curran both kept their teams in the match till the end. Quote
Administrator Stan Posted August 4, 2018 Administrator Posted August 4, 2018 SUperb cricket, sad we couldn't win and chase that target down. But this is why Test cricket is so good. Great entertainment since day one. Hope the next 4 test are just as good. 1 Quote
