Utter nonsense. They've had a massive rest (due to the lockdown) and its like saying the summer was moved up so now they are playing a regular season. Obviously its okay for now but for a whole season? Can't see the logic behind this decision.

I don’t see the point?

5 subs and a water break now I get, the players have had a 3 month break and they’re straight into playing 2 games a week for a month or so to finish off the season, player welfare has to come first.

Whats the need for this next season?

We all know the reason. It's the same reason for nearly any change in football now - to aid those who have the biggest squads, aka, to assist the big clubs, as per nearly everything they do. The more football goes on the less I rate any achievement. It's all so geared towards an obvious outcome anyway.

Not a fan. Clearly favours the bigger clubs who have those bloated squads.

No need for it to be extended.
