Administrator Stan Posted October 2, 2020 Author Administrator Posted October 2, 2020 Wow, Celtic and Rangers have very tough groups.
ScoRoss Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Very favourable draw for Roma there, getting the bottom seeded 3rd and 4th teams. Gutted for Dundalk, probably won't be allowed fans for huge games against Arsenal home and away.
nudge Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Both Rapid and LASK should manage to finish 2nd in their groups. WAC got handed a tough group...
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 2, 2020 Subscriber Posted October 2, 2020 Good for the English sides, tough for the Scottish ones.

With the fixture congestion, and a real shot at a top four place, wouldn't surprise me if they binned off the competition and just used it for squad / youth players to compete for game time.
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted October 2, 2020 Subscriber Posted October 2, 2020 I still really like this competition. The group stage is a bit shite, but the same is true of the Champions League, just nobody wants to admit how tedious it is to spend six midweek transnational sets of fixtures to go through the formality of Barcelona and Dortmund cruising through their group ahead of Shakhtar and Lille before the competition actually starts in earnest after Christmas.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted October 3, 2020 Subscriber Posted October 3, 2020 Absolutely sickening that we can't properly attend this. I've got a flight booked for Athens though. Worth the risk at £45 return. Intending to do similar for Braga if possible. Zorya is a nonstarter, sadly. We should be topping that group.
