You spend all that money on Rhian Brewster, and you start everyone but him up front? Firstly a midfielder converted to a forward last couple weeks and today, Billy Sharp.

I've got a lot of time for Sharp and what he's done but come on...who would this Saints defence really want to face?

I’m afraid it’s last chance saloon for Wilder. These players are doing fuck all, and I think it’s time that he pulls a few talented lads from the reserves and put them in the team. 11 losses in 12....they can hardly do much worse.

In starting to think they weren't ready for the success that followed them. Signing a forward for 20 plus million and then playing Oliver Burke out of position ahead of him. Madness.

You can't even allow the "they've got a shit squad" excuse, because even when higher-pedigree players are available it's clear Wilder would rather persist with his tried and trusted grafters.

Yeah I'm not sure why Brewster isn't getting more of a look in.
