Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 We've been on good form since McCarthy took over (11 points out of last 15 since he took over) and we should be looking to win this. Not sure what Luton's form has been like recently, but I'll be surprised if we get close to a repeat of the 4-0 win back in November.
Danny Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Massive game on Wednesday, west London derby and a chance to bounce back after our loss to Barnsley. Thomas Frank's message was a calm and clear one, the players, coaching staff, board and fans need to get over the loss to Barnsley and look forward to this fixture. The lads now have a chance to respond in a big game. I love Frank, his mindset is entirely based around setting difficult but achievable targets and meeting them, challenging himself, the players, people around him. He was such a great appointment as Dean Smith's co-assist, completely busy into the ethos of the club. Came in for criticism last season from opposition fans for comments regarding whether they're up to the task etc, but he is exactly the type of coach you want. He views Football through the prism of challenging people to achieve goals and if you fail then you can go again and learn from what went wrong. Hopefully on Wednesday night we learn from what went wrong against Barnsley, put it behind us and set up the foundations for another run of good results.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Your lot better win @Danny. Don't want the cunts to go up at your expense.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted February 16, 2021 Subscriber Posted February 16, 2021 Eyes on Barrow against Salford for me tonight. Hoping that Salford see Barrow off so that Barrow only have 1 game in hand over us and the points gap isn't too large.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Something happened at long last. Long ball from Ng, Flint (who stayed forward) nodded it down to Wilson, who had time to slot it nicely into the bottom left corner. 1-0 to us.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Wait for one and two come along at once. Corner comes in from us, cleared to Vaulks who strikes it first time, deflects off Bradley and in. 2-0 to us.
Administrator Stan Posted February 16, 2021 Author Administrator Posted February 16, 2021 Referee pretty much squared up to an Ipswich player tonight: Not massively dramatic but very rarely, if ever, see that in the game.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 16, 2021 Posted February 16, 2021 Just now, Cazza said: I'm the only Luton town fan here... Are you ignoring me? Not really. Your lot have pushed and pushed and have had good chances, but the shooting has been off today.

It's almost like for a couple seconds he lost his train of thought before quickly coming to his senses. It's nice to see a Referee stand up for himself for a change.

Massive balls of steel to become a ref at any level, for sure.

What I find odd about all this is a referee can be made to apologise for something like that and yet can make terrible decisions, sometimes back to back (Hello Mike Dean) and they get away without saying a peep for their fuck ups. It's wrong.
Smiley Culture Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 It’s bollocks that he’s had to apologise. Judge pushed his buttons. How? I dunno but he’s temporarily lost his head and we could speculate about what might have happened but he’s been pushed and pushed, after copping a load of flak doing his job for years.
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted February 17, 2021 Subscriber Posted February 17, 2021 I'd have definitely nutted someone by now if I was a ref.
Lucas Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Got to admire Swansea's grit. That's a massive late goal for them tonight. Not the first time they have dine that either.

Dave Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Paul Lambert wants the ref banned for six months Anything to take the attention away from the terrible job he's done over the last two years.
Danny Posted February 20, 2021 Posted February 20, 2021 We've just been shit, game over. A lot of reasons as to why, we are clearly knackered at the moment and struggling for peak fitness. Pinnock rested in the last game, 4 players rested today plus an injury. We are struggling and have well and truly fallen into a rut. It is all about Marcondes and Norgaard returning from injury imo, Jansson too. But the midfielders more so, we need more options in midfield, greater options to be more tactically flexible.
