Dr. Gonzo Posted August 13, 2021 Share Posted August 13, 2021 Good signing, I think. He was a big player for them in the second half of the season on loan and scored important goals. I don't think there's much quality overall in this Newcastle side, but I think he's an absolutely key player for them now that he's joined full time. However whilst there's a lot or potential in this signing I can't help but remember that Bruce dropped him. 8 of his 21 appearances came from the bench. He only got back in the side because he scored from the bench in 3 consecutive appearances. For me the minute he scored 1 he should have been back in but the lad had to do it in 3 games.
