Ploughendplonker Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Weekly football with crowds back, it really is a great feeling.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Helping my mum a little at present so missing the game. Should be having a tribute to Whittingham as well. Hoping for a good win just to kick us off. 2-0 with Giles and Moore getting the goals.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Bournemouth leading 2-1 after 60 minutes.
Dave Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 I must say I was very impressed with the Bournemouth kids this evening. They way they linked up for the second goal was pretty sublime. That's one of the biggest tests they'll have this season too.
Smiley Culture Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Decent enough result for both given the circumstances. Bournemouth’s list of missing players was eight or nine deep and they’d have all been involved if for injury or suspension and West Brom’s starting XI looks pretty strong but beyond that, they have nothing and had six subs that included a keeper that will be gone by 1st September, Rayhan Tulloch who has played two games in his career and a kid in Ethan Ingram.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted August 7, 2021 Subscriber Posted August 7, 2021 No Armstrong. Probably having a medical somewhere.

Administrator Stan Posted August 7, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 7, 2021 My mate's brother starting for MK Dons at Bolton. Was at Oldham last year and has waited patiently for his chance. Hope he has a good game.
Administrator Stan Posted August 7, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 7, 2021 Stoke score but concede straight away. Cardiff open the scoring against Barnsley.

Dave Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 I had Jed Wallace in my Gaffr team until yesterday. Typical.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted August 7, 2021 Subscriber Posted August 7, 2021 Yesss. Sam Gallagher takes us 1-0 up. Buckley’s pass leading up to the goal was brilliant.

Yeah he's decent, and trying not to be biased. He's had several loan spells to get him to where he is now. Hope he takes his chance.
Subscriber JoshBRFC+ Posted August 7, 2021 Subscriber Posted August 7, 2021 First opening day win for us in 10 years. Good win that. Daniel Ayala was a beast today. He won 13 aerial duels, and every other player in the match combined won 14.
Administrator Stan Posted August 7, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 7, 2021 Hull beating Preston 4-1 away Blackpool draw with Bristol City. Peterborough comprehensively beaten by Luton. Not a bad start for 2 of the promoted clubs.
Smiley Culture Posted August 7, 2021 Posted August 7, 2021 Went to Harlow Town v Great Wakering Rovers in a pre-season friendly, which kicked off at 1, so I knew I’d be home by about 3.10, so I could get into the Football League season. The game ended 1-2 to Rovers, who were comfortably the better of the two sides. Both play at the same level and the away side looked the more ready of the two for next weeks first League game. Can’t talk too much about atmosphere and crowds because it was a friendly and there can’t have been more than 100 there but it’s still nice to be able to go to games again and hopefully this won’t be the third disrupted season for non-league clubs.
Administrator Stan Posted August 7, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 7, 2021 Birmingham leading away at Sheff Utd.
Administrator Stan Posted August 8, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 8, 2021 Fulham drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough. Wilson in the first half, Bola equalising in the second.
Administrator Stan Posted August 8, 2021 Author Administrator Posted August 8, 2021 Wow, literally a last second winner for Coventry over Forest.
