Always unpredictable when it's a new season and difficult to gauge where you're at when you've just been promoted. Our pre-season has been good and we've made some good transfer business so I'm confident we can at least put up a fight and grab at least a point.

Connor Hourihane gets Derby's first goal in League One.

This ref is a fucking disgrace. If we lose, it'll be purely down to him.

Heard the game got a bit feisty. Ref losing control?

Wouldn't say he lost control, but basically gave everything to Norwich, even if we did a similar sort of challenge shortly after.

That feistiness part was a joke as well. A foul on Pukki (who was pretty much throwing himself to the floor all game) pretty much started it off and it saw Ralls, Ng and Rinomhota booked for us, with Hanley (who floored Ng) booked when he arguably should have been sent off.

As for the game itself, very impressive from us when you consider that 8 of the 11 were making their competitive debut under Morison. We were lacking up front (which is where I'm hoping we make a couple more signings), some passes went astray and there was some sloppiness in giving the ball away cheaply, but we looked good considering the years of direct football and possession wise, we held our own when we would normally have about 30% and got twatted about 4-0.

Half time and 0-0 for Grimsby. We've definitely had more chances so confident we can get 3 points but I'd be happy with 1.

I know it's against you but what a fucking goal

My takes watching the highlight show:

- Burnley played slick football

- Norwich very underwhelming

- Wallace and Swift look settler very quickly

- Boro Wing Backs look great

- Blackburn don't seem scared to shoot from anywhere

- Obafemi miss was hilarious

- Hull's penalty was hilarious
