Honestly the A-League has done more harm than good. Because there is a funded, organized league in Australia kids aren't getting out to Germany, England, Netherlands and Switzerland early enough. They're being trained by Archie Thompson and Kevin Muscat, taking wheelie bin ice baths and making enough of a living that Jackson Irvine can afford to buy the $25 hamburger and pale ale combo every day for lunch at the hipster bar by the beach.
