Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Rotherham smashing Blackburn 3-0. Morrison clearly influencing everything.

Moderator Tommy Posted January 14, 2023 Moderator Posted January 14, 2023 Lots of people from my city at the Ipswich vs. Plymouth game this weekend! I must admit, I only learned this recently: Quote The club has a particularly strong affiliation with German club Fortuna Düsseldorf, with Fortuna fans making an annual visit to Portman Road since 2006. Ipswich fans also organise visits to the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Düsseldorf to support Fortuna at their home matches. The two clubs have previously organised a pre-season friendly match in Düsseldorf in 2015, which was the first match to be played between the two teams. Let's go, Ipswich!
Subscriber Pyfish+ Posted January 16, 2023 Subscriber Posted January 16, 2023 I will make no comment on our game. Forgotten about it already. Clearly.

Apparently in 2004 some Fortuna Fans got together and wanted to see some lower league "old school" English football that's not like the Premier League or "modern football" in generall. So they did a whole groundhopping tour, starting with Brentford, and somehow landed in Ipswich. They went to a pub before the Ipswich vs. Portsmouth match and immediately had a great connection to the Ipswich supporters there. So they went back to Ipswich every year until this day, and the connection and friendship grew bigger and bigger.

Think the clubs will link up more as time progresses?

Since dropping to League One, it's lowered significantly. But, their stock seems high as they've got the Ed Sheeran link - he is from the town and is one of their sponsors I believe. They've got a good chance of promotion this season.
