Lewis Hamilton acts like he's Jesus Christ, says Jacques Villeneuve

"He confuses Formula One with Hollywood," he said. "Everything he does is staged. He portrays himself on social media like he is Jesus.

"The way he knelt next to his car after his problem in qualifying looked like the suffering of Christ. And what he said afterwards was the Sermon on the Mount. Then he gestured so dramatically on the podium that everyone could see who sent the sudden rain."

Villeneuve talks a lot of rubbish, but he's not wrong this time.

Force India has been put into administration by the High Court. That's probably the door open for the Stroll family to take over, although there are apparently 3 interested buyers. Ocon is set to join Renault.

Hope that doesn't mean trouble for Williams, if the Stroll money goes to another team. There are also rumours that Lance wants to take Robert Kubica with him to the new team. Ocon to Renault sounds like a good move for both sides. But where does that leave Sainz? Gonna be interesting.

Interesting to see whether Vettel can hold it together this time. The Ferraris use a low downforce setup which doesn't make it easy to drive in the rain. There are not that many corners as difficult as the Sachs corner where Vettel went off last race, but there are some challenging off-camber corners in Hungary.

Don't think we'll see many faster times now. Hamilton's second hot lap was 7 seconds slower than the one before. Great job from Raikkonen getting in the top ten after being the last one to get onto inters.

Ricciardo 🙈.

Raikkonen was consistently strong today, surprised he only ended up 3rd, don't know what happened on his last lap.

Red Bull 7th and 12th when they came into this weekend as possible favourites. Bed well and truly shat there.

Hartley might just save his F1 career yet. Some understated good performances recently.

Hamilton might be a cunt but he delivers another great performance this afternoon.

If tomorrow is dry and Ferrari get back to having the dominant car tomorrow will be interesting. Usually at the start here the grip is so much better on the side of the grid on the racing line that it can often be better to start 3rd than 2nd. It might not be as pronounced in the rain but Kimi could get the jump on Bottas at the start and end up being the one who can challenge for the win. Vettel will have a more difficult start from 4th on the dirty side of the grid. Last thing he needs is to get stuck behind a Gasly or a Sainz early on as this track is probably the worst non-street circuit for overtaking.
