Forgot he existed. What happened to him, he seemed quite promising for Everton at one point

He hasn't been allowed to develop because some of our tragic recruitment (not having a backup right back or left back for about 3 years) left Ancelotti often playing him at full back where he did okay, but obviously stunted his development as a centre back. He also suffered really badly with long Covid during Ancelotti's era, had Benitez managing him briefly before Lampard, and he had a leg fracture on the first day of last season as well. Like many of our players, just hasn't been able to develop due to having so many different types of manager with different styles over the years. Nowadays, Dyche and his staff don't fancy him in a centre back pairing but are happy with him in a back three, so his opportunities have been limited to cup appearances and that Burnley game where Branthwaite was suspended for five bookings.

His biggest strength is his athleticism so the long Covid issue was a real killer for him. I don't know if there's any truth in this rumour though because there's been nothing about it from the usual suspects on our end.

Might be lazy journalism chucking our name in to generate click bait.

Farke had him at Noreich remember. Definitely can't see him here anyway if there is Serie A and Premier League interest in him.
