It feels like the time is right for him to move on and blossom elsewhere. It's been too stop start at Arsenal for him and even he must look at players like Cole Palmer who move somewhere else early doors and establish themselves.

23 years old, lots of time left but no where near consideration at England level which has to be the ambition.

But rather than Fulham, I think he'd be a great fit at Villa if they came back in. Champions League Football now and they got to look at shifting to that next level of regularly challenging for it. Could see Emery getting loads out of him there.

He will also step in for Willian who isnt getting younger

This just feels wrong.

Sad to see him leave. Arteta just didn't see him as fitting in. Maybe too much of a maverick style for a control obsessed manager. I can see him doing well at Fulham. Wish him luck.

He did have a big injury lay off. I remember him getting a huge ovation in a Champions League return. He could have been interesting at Villa, but Villa have a longer queue now for his potential positions.

If he can stay fit, I think he'll do well being somewhere he will play.
