Administrator Stan Posted August 10 Administrator Posted August 10 Fairly expensive and Liverpool have a great record of getting big money for players they no longer want. Think Brentford will get a good return from him though. Quote
6666 Posted August 10 Author Posted August 10 £20m plus add-ons which could see it rise to £27m. Liverpool have a 17.5% sell on clause. Fulham get 20% of the profit Liverpool made on this deal. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c0jp18lpyz4o Liverpool are good at selling. Bought for £5m. Barely did anything. Sold for £20m. OrangeKhrush Posted August 10 Posted August 10 It is a pretty ambitious signing for Brentford, it should lift the fans Quote
LFCMike Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Good deal for someone who wouldn't get a game this season Quote

I think the lad is very talented, and maybe in a year or two this looks like a really poor bit of business on our end. Same goes for Tyler Morton & Bobby Clark, both young midfielders that have a ton of talent that are going to be sold off. It’s a shame that this is what clubs have to do now to stick within the rules. 100% pure profit from the latter two. Quote

Looks like Pep Ljinders really wants to bring Bobby Clark with him to the red bull side he's joined. I still have hope that Clark will make it to the first team, so I'm less keen on him leaving. With Carvalho it's a bit of a shame because I think he's a big talent and he's had a decent pre-season (which might mean something or it might be totally meaningless, the duality of pre-season, really)... but he's not really all that close to starting for us. I think he's best in a #10 role and in modern football, it does seem like a specialised number 10's sort of becoming rarer and rarer - and I think he's pretty far from getting games out wide for us, honestly. So him moving on his probably for the best. Quote
