Bluebird Hewitt Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 Well, this has gone well so far for Coleman. Joint bottom at present with Burton. The only saving grace he has is how tight it is in the relegation battle.
Honey Honey Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 It's not easter yet so of course they are losing. They've won 39 league games over the last 5 years. I doubt there has been a worse club to support in any professional league in Europe.
Smiley Culture Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 It’s not exactly Coleman’s fault, in fairness. Ellis Short is the cancer at Sunderland and till he’s gone, they’ll continue to slide. For people who are described, along with Geordies, as some of the most passionate around, it’s a surprise that no real protests have happened at the Stadium of Light yet.

I usually associate Geordies with the label 'the most passionate around'. Never really heard it about Sunderland fans?

Inverted Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 I know it's tempting to say that the squad is shit, the club is a disaster, and that it's an impossible job, but there are a few shit squads in the championship, and some of them are playing quite well. Coleman knew before he went that his job was going to be moulding the shit into at least a mildly functional unit.
Honey Honey Posted February 18, 2018 Posted February 18, 2018 It also doesn't help that this guy is getting £50,000 a week
