Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted December 14 Subscriber Posted December 14 Pure attack against defense here. We went about 20 minutes without leaving our half early on. Arsenal's attempts to break us down haven't exactly been inspiring and most openings have come from us giving the ball away but I suspect they'll get there eventually. Quote

I’d be happy if I never have to see him again. Aside from being a cheat, he’s also a very dirty player. Indeed. He didn't even get booked for diving! Then he commits a studs-on-shin foul on Mavididi. Gets booked for that. So should be off. Quote

Administrator Stan Posted December 14 Author Administrator Posted December 14 Game over anyway. Shite defending all round for their second which obviously Guimaraes scores. Then Isak scores to finish the game off. Quote
LFCMike Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Tete lucky to get away without conceding a penalty for that foul on Gomez Quote

Dr. Gonzo Posted December 14 Posted December 14 We might not get all 3 points, but I did get to see an ex-blueshite player hurt his testicles. Quality. Quote
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted December 14 Subscriber Posted December 14 Surprise point at the Emirates, Leicester get humped to finish their new manager bounce, too bad Ipswich spoiled the perfect day by winning it late at Wolves. I'd rather it was them than Wolves at least but a draw would have been amazing for us with neither of them gaining ground on us when they had each other and we had Arsenal away. Can't see how Wolves can justify not sacking O'Neil after that. Really good, disciplined performance from us. Unambitious approach and a hard watch but they showed a pair of bollocks which they failed to do at Spurs and Old Trafford and that's all we can ask currently. Arsenal were very poor, couldn't find another gear or create a proper big chance. We didn't even ride our luck that much to be honest barring a couple of top class saves from Pickford. Quote
LFCMike Posted December 14 Posted December 14 That time added on was a joke. Iwobi was down for two minutes a couple of minutes into added time. The ref plays less than thirty seconds over the minimum. Anyway, got to take the positives out of that with being down to ten men for so long and we were playing against twelve for much of it Quote

Yeah well until they do things that don’t open them up to conspiracy theories it’s fair game Quote
Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted December 14 Subscriber Posted December 14 I can't get my head around what Wolves are doing this season. That squad is easily good enough for this to be a "bad start, new manager bounce, had a scare but now we're sound" season. They've stuck with O'Neil and catastrophically lost 3 on the bounce to other teams in the bottom seven. Conceded an average of 2.5 goals per game. Their players are being dragged down the tunnel after the final whistle. They're more than a win from 17th place after today. It's a full blown crisis now. It'll be absolutely astonishing if they don't sack him ahead of the Leicester game. Quote
Rick Posted December 14 Posted December 14 That result sacked O’Neill. He has to go, and they’d be clever to bring in Moyes. Quote

Gary O’Neill’s not a good manager at this level, but I think they’re going down regardless of whoever they bring in after him. Quote

They might be badly run but they've still got players left who should be good enough to stay up. I know from my club that if you can just scrape by one way or another and stay in the league it gives you another 12 months for something to go right and turn the tide. Everton could have been relegated in any of the last 3 seasons but refused and now you've got new ownership, new stadium to look forward to. Wolves have been dragged into the mire for the first time in years and the entire club just seems to be capitulating. Quote
